Georgia State University

The mission of the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society is to recognize, reward, and encourage academic excellence in the study of healthcare management and policy.

This scholarship was established upon Dr. Roland "Knob" Knobel's retirement in 1985, after teaching in the institute since 1970. This award is given to MHA students based on academic performance, and to recognize those who have achieved distinction through professional and community activities.

The R. C. Williams, M.D., Honor Award was established to honor the late Dr. Williams, who founded the Hospital Administration program at GSU in 1952. The award is given to the graduate student in the Institute of Health Administration demonstrating outstanding leadership in the profession through university, community and work-related endeavors.

Joe Taylor Scholarship received at the Honors Day Celebration

This scholarship is presented annually to the student with the highest grade-point average after completing at least 30 hours in the CAHME-accredited graduate program in health administration. The scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Max Holland, who was on the faculty of the institute from 1976 to 1989.

J. Mack Robinson Scholarship Received at the Honors Day Celebration.

This award is given to provide scholarship support for first generation undergraduate students in the Department of Finance in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. The recipient must be in good academic standing at Georgia State University, be a first generation college student and have a demonstrated unmet financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.

This award is given to undergraduate finance majors in honor of Jack Dunn, former Commissioner of Banking and Finance for the State of Georgia. The recipient of this award is chosen based on the student's academic record.

This award is named after Mr. H. Talmage Dobbs, Jr., past chairman of the board of Life of Georgia and a Georgia State alum. The award is presented to the outstanding undergraduate finance major over the past year. The criteria used to determine the recipient include classroom performance and recommendations from past instructors.

Bennett Thrasher recognizes an outstanding senior involved in Beta Alpha Psi with a cash award.

An outstanding accounting student with high academic achievement receives a cash award from BDO USA LLP.

Bargainer Scholarship

The Atlanta Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors recognizes students dedicated to the Internal Audit Profession and the Georgia State Chapter of the IIA.

Outstanding Risk Management and Insurance Graduate Student of the Year Award

This annual award recognizes a graduating mathematical risk management student who has demonstrated academic excellence in graduate-level coursework and whose efforts have enhanced the quality of education for other students in the mathematical risk management program.

The late Dr. Floyd S. Harper joined Georgia State's faculty in 1958 and was instrumental in the creation of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance's Actuarial Science Program. This award is presented annually to a graduating senior in actuarial science in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and character--qualities that Dr. Harper strove to develop in his students.

Charles A. Williams Scholarship

Scholarship for doctoral students enrolled full-time at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business Institute of International Business. Students must demonstrate academic achievement in teaching.

The Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (REIAC) Scholarship recipients were recognized at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business Honors Day Celebration.

This scholarship was established in 2013 by Georgia State University alumnus Rahim Charania, in honor of his father Barkat Charania, whose greatest passion is for increasing the availability for young people to receive a quality education.

Established in 2013 by Georgia State alumna Ann-Marie Campbell to provide financial support for students majoring any discipline within the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

Established in 1998 by Mr. and Mrs. Carlos to provide support to students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

Awarded to students who write the best summary judgment brief in each section.

CALI recognizes students who receive the highest grade in each section of each course each semester.

Awarded to a student who has demonstrated an excellent academic record and a keen interest in dispute resolution.

This scholarship provides opportunities to deserving students by offering substantial award amounts of up to $5,000 for Maymester or Summer programs, $7,500 for Fall or Spring semesters abroad, and $15,000 for an Academic Year, depending on financial need and program costs.

KPMG recognizes two outstanding undergraduate students and two outstanding graduate students with a cash award.

Given to students for outstanding accomplishments in the College of Education & Human Development.
