The Kell Award is presented to students graduating from Georgia State University at the undergraduate level with the highest grade-point average for all course work taken at the university.

Georgia State University College of Law Student Trial Lawyers Association team of Ryan Brown (J.D. '17), Lacey Wheeler (J.D. '17), Robert Noens (J.D. '18) and Hunter Rogers (J.D. '18) won the William Daniel Mock Trial Competition held Nov. 19-20 at the Fulton County courthouse. Alison Burleson (J.D. '00) and Alex Galvan (J.D. '14) coached the group. Every summer, the William W. Daniel National Invitational Mock Trial Committee sends hundreds of applications to ABA accredited law schools. Only 18 schools are invited to compete in this well-known competition named in honor of the late Judge William W. Daniel of the Superior Court of Fulton County.

Estera Maxim presented a poster at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students in Tampa, Fl. Estera received a distinction of honor for her presentation.

The Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate research conference which highlights and recognizes the research taking place across Georgia State's campus. The GSURC Student Planning Committee consists of 13 Honors College students who assist with event planning and execution.

The Georgia Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (TM) selected Cicely Anderson and Shobit Gupta, Master of Science in Real Estate students, for $1,000 academic scholarships which were awarded at the fall leadership breakfast.

Stephanie Ekey presented her research on the neural modulation of respiration and the response of the respiratory neuronal network to hypoxia at the Black Doctoral Network Conference in Atlanta, Ga. Stephanie received an honorable mention award for her poster presentation.

Gregory Boler, MSRE student, received a $5,000 scholarship from the CoreNet Global Atlanta Chapter at its education forum on August 18. GSU President Becker delivered the event's keynote address.

School of Public Health student Akilah Heggs presented research at the 2016 American Public Health Association (APHA) annual meeting, held Oct. 29 to Nov. 2 in Denver, Colo.

School of Public Health Ph.D. student William Wheeler successfully defended his dissertation this fall on access to care for Californians diagnosed with HIV.

Alexandra Borsdorf, a Georgia State University Perimeter College student, received the fourth annual Georgia Society of Mayflower Descendants Honors College Scholarship. The $1,500 scholarship is for students in the Georgia State University Honors College at Perimeter College who are currently history majors or intend to major in history upon transferring to a four-year institution.

Georgia State University's Perimeter College students were recently inducted into Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG), the international honors society for business students.

Three of the finalists for this year's LawMeet Competition are law students at Georgia State University College of Law. The team won "Best Draft" during the national competition. Twenty-four teams competed in regional rounds. This year's IP LawMeet involves the drafting and negotiation of a software development, and license & hosting agreement between an education technology company and a company that provides training solutions for home health aides.

This achievement is for Georgia State Law students who maintained a GPA of 3.8 or higher through the end of the Fall 2015 semester.

The scholarship fund was established by John P. Diercks to honor the memory of alumna, Claire Hammond Diercks. It is awarded based on scholastic achievement, leadership ability, active participation in student activities, and active member of Phi Chi Theta Chapter.

This annual award-sponsored by the RMI Alumni Club-recognizes a senior-level student majoring in risk management and insurance who has demonstrated academic excellence in coursework related to managing risk.

Established in 1975 by Mr. Michael C. Carlos in memory of Christopher Yannapoulous, to benefit students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

The late Dr. Floyd S. Harper joined Georgia State's faculty in 1958 and was instrumental in the creation of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance's Actuarial Science Program. This award is presented annually to a graduating senior in actuarial science in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and character-qualities that Dr. Harper strove to develop in his students.

This scholarship is presented in memory of a prominent Atlanta-area real estate family to recognize superior academic achievement and potential. It may be awarded to either a graduate or an undergraduate student.

This fund provides support to doctoral students in good standing in the Real Estate Department at Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business. Candidates chosen by faculty nomination.
