Georgia State University

The late Dr. Eli A. Zubay co-founded Georgia State University's Actuarial Science Program in 1958. This award recognizes academic excellence and is presented annually to the undergraduate actuarial science major with the highest overall grade-point average.

The Atlanta Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors recognizes students dedicated to the Internal Audit Profession and the Georgia State Chapter of the IIA.

The Dr. Colquitt L. "Buck" Chandler Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established by the CLC Foundation in memory of Dr. Chandler, a successful Atlanta dentist, real estate investor, and philanthropist. The scholarship is awarded to a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Real Estate, selected by a committee that includes the department chair.

In honor of Dr. Henry F. Stabler, accounting graduate students with high academic qualifications receive a cash award.

This scholarship is awarded by Dexter and Karen Warrior to an undergraduate or graduate student who has outstanding performance in the field of real estate.

Presented to the most outstanding managerial sciences major in the MBA program based on academic achievement, potential for leadership, and service to the university and the community.

This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior who is majoring in Marketing with a concentration in advertising, and is based on scholastic achievement and a sincere interest and potential for success in a career in advertising. Students must be nominated by a Marketing faculty member.

Grant Thornton Tax Achievement Award Received at Honors Day Celebration.

The Sales Executive Roundtable (SERT) of the marketing department of the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University created two scholarships in 2014. Consideration will be given to currently registered students who have taken, or are currently taking, a sales course in the Department of Marketing and who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in sales.

Outstanding accounting students with high academic achievement receive a cash award sponsored by Grant Thornton.

This scholarship is sponsored by the GSU Marketing RoundTable and is awarded annually to students of African American, Hispanic American, or Native American ethnicity and currently enrolled in a Marketing course, with high academic standing. Qualified students will have a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Students must be nominated by Marketing faculty members.

In honor of George Allen Chance III, a student with 15 or fewer credit hours of graduate work demonstrating high academic achievement in the Masters of Professional Accountancy program receives a cash award.

Presented to the doctoral student in managerial sciences with the most outstanding record of achievement in research.

In honor of Dr. Gary Winkle, students with high scholastic program achievement in the Masters of Professional Accountancy receive a cash award.

Presented to the most outstanding managerial sciences major in the B.B.A. program based on academic achievement, potential for leadership, and service to the university and the community.

Endowed in 2012 to honor the 30-year relationship between Chick-fil-A and Dr. Ken Bernhardt, this scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in marketing with high academic performance, outstanding character, and a high likelihood of a successful career in marketing. Preference will be given to students who are employed, or previously employed, by Chick-fil-A. One scholarship of $1,000 is awarded per calendar year.

Established in 1997 as the Mills B. Lane/Nationsbank (now Bank of America Scholarship) to benefit students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

Awarded to the outstanding undergraduate student in the Managerial Sciences displaying exceptional analytical skills. This award is given in memory of the founder of the Department of Decision Sciences and the first President of the Decision Sciences Institute. It is based on academic achievement, potential for leadership and service to the university and community.

In honor of Mrs. Nita Robinson, J. Mack Robinson endowed The Nita Robinson Scholars Program for $1 million. The scholarships are awarded to students to further their understanding of the global business environment.

This scholarship is open to RCB students with no study abroad experience and a GPA of at least 3.0.

Stanley Jackson Hospitality Service Award received at the Honors Day Celebration.

This scholarship is in honor of Spurgeon Richardson, a well-known leader in Atlanta's hospitality community. Richardson served as president and CEO of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau for 17 years. In this role, he positioned tourism as one of the city's top economic drivers and helped Atlanta develop into a world-class city. This scholarship is presented to a hospitality major based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

This scholarship is in memory of Robert King, a leader in Georgia's hospitality industry as president of the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association. It is presented to a hospitality major based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

North Point Hospitality Group, Inc., based in Atlanta, was founded in 1978 by JK Patel. The company owns, develops, and manages brand defining hotels in key business markets and leisure destinations. This scholarship is based on academic achievement, hotel career aspirations, work experience and leadership in student organizations.

Madiha Charania was recognized for receiving the Eric and Barbara Joiner Award at the 2016 Honors Day Celebration.
