Stephanie Ekey Presents Research at Black Doctoral Network Conference
Stephanie Ekey presented her research on the neural modulation of respiration and the response of the respiratory neuronal network to hypoxia at the Black Doctoral Network Conference in Atlanta, Ga. Stephanie received an honorable mention award for her poster presentation.

Finalists for Sixth Annual Intellectual Property LawMeet Competition
Three of the finalists for this year's LawMeet Competition are law students at Georgia State University College of Law. The team won "Best Draft" during the national competition. Twenty-four teams competed in regional rounds. This year's IP LawMeet involves the drafting and negotiation of a software development, and license & hosting agreement between an education technology company and a company that provides training solutions for home health aides.

Alexandra Borsdorf, a Georgia State University Perimeter College student, received the fourth annual Georgia Society of Mayflower Descendants Honors College Scholarship. The $1,500 scholarship is for students in the Georgia State University Honors College at Perimeter College who are currently history majors or intend to major in history upon transferring to a four-year institution.

2015 Floyd S. Harper Actuarial Science Award
The late Dr. Floyd S. Harper joined Georgia State's faculty in 1958 and was instrumental in the creation of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance's Actuarial Science Program.
