This honor society promotes and recognizes the significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Baccalaureate degree candidates who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for induction. The Alpha Eta motto is "Together We Serve" to represent all of the allied health professions. Georgia State University became a founding member of the Alpha Eta in March 1975.

Georgia State University College of Law students advanced to the quarterfinals at the Duberstein Bankruptcy Competition, held in New York at the St. John's University School of Law.

This scholarship was established in memory of Daniel Sansone, son of Joseph Sansone, founder and CEO of Pediatria Healthcare, LLC and former advisory board member of the Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing and Health Professions. The Daniel J. Sansone Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student interested in pediatric nursing or respiratory therapy.
