Lewis College Graduate Research Conference Honorable Mention Place
The Lewis College Graduate Research Conference, which is sponsored by the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions Office of Research, provides graduate students in nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy the opportunity to exhibit their research in a poster presentation to colleagues in the university. First and second place are selected by a panel of judges from disciplines across the university.

Alpha Eta National Honor Society in Health Professions
The Alpha Eta National Honor Society promotes and recognizes significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Baccalaureate degree candidates who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for induction. The Alpha Eta motto is "Together We Serve" to represent all of the allied health professions. Georgia State University became a founding member of Alpha Eta in March 1975.

L. Danie Marshall received the Asa G. Hilliard, III Memorial Scholarship from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development as part of its annual Scholars Celebration. Dr. Asa G. Hilliard, III was a world-renowned Pan-Africanist educator, historian and psychologist whose work impacted people around the globe. This scholarship is given in recognition of leadership, engagement in urban education settings that has improved and demonstrates promise to continue improving the educational context and/or student development and learning in these settings.

Allison Webb created the Lee Project Scholarship in memory of Lee Lowery III, who was a sophomore at Georgia State University and graduated from Grady High School, where he was a scholar athlete. Amani Ashley received the David Jemel Holloman Memorial Scholarship from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development (CEHD) as part of its annual Scholars Celebration. Darryl Holloman, a three-time Georgia State University alumnus and former dean of students at the university, established this scholarship in memory of his younger brother, David Jemel Holloman. This memorial scholarship is awarded to an exceptional undergraduate student in the CEHD majoring in early childhood and elementary education.

Ethan Tinh Trinh received the Joanne R. Nurss Endowed Scholarship in Life-Long Literacy from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development as part of its annual Scholars Celebration. Joanne R. Nurss spent most of her career at Georgia State educating teachers and working in programs for young children, adult literacy and English language learners. She was directly responsible for the early establishment and success of the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education. This award is named for Roslyn Hirsch Balbirer, who was a passionate consumer of the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta and a dedicated advocate of the value and benefits of sport participation for people with a disability.
