Karen Lopp Memorial Scholarship
Jaleh Davari received the Karen Lopp Memorial Scholarship from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development (CEHD) as part of its annual Scholars Celebration. This scholarship, named for CEHD alumnus Karen Lopp, is awarded to a student in recognition of their commitment to multicultural issues and social injustice through advocacy and service.

Kyndel Tarziers received the JoAnna F. White Play Therapy Scholarship from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development as part of its annual Scholars Celebration. JoAnna F. White, former department chair of the college's Department of Counseling and Psychological Services, began the play therapy training program during her tenure. Daves, a professor in the department from 1966-1997 and chair 1989-1994. College of Education & Human Development Scholarship
Three students received the College of Education & Human Development Scholarship from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development (CEHD) as part of its annual Scholars Celebration. This scholarship recognizes individuals with outstanding accomplishments in the CEHD. Undergraduate and graduate students who receive this scholarship must have completed at least 30 hours of coursework in the CEHD, be in good standing and show a pattern of department/program involvement or scholarship.

Georgia State University Graduate Student Receives Academic Recognition
This award is made annually to a graduate student who has shown outstanding development and ability in the use of statistics in psychology. It is named for Percival Rogers Bakeman (1882-1932), a graduate of Brown University, who was regarded as something of a polymath. He was a professor at Shanghai College, where he distinguished himself as the only American to lecture routinely in Chinese. The College of Arts & Sciences provides a skills-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

John Warkentin Memorial Award
The John Warkentin Memorial Award is made annually to a graduate student showing outstanding potential in psychotherapy as well as financial need. John Warkentin was a psychiatrist in Atlanta who died in 1983. He and his wife, who was a clinical psychologist, were strong supporters of the psychotherapy program in the 1970s.

The Fulbright fellowship gives students an opportunity to immerse themselves in a host country's customs and culture while they conduct individually designed research projects or serve as English teaching assistants. Dr. Colquitt L. "Buck" Chandler Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Dr. Colquitt L. "Buck" Chandler Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established by the CLC Foundation in memory of Dr. Chandler, a successful Atlanta dentist, real estate investor, and philanthropist. The scholarship is awarded to Ph.D. candidates in the Department of Real Estate selected by a committee that includes the department chair.

Alpha Eta National Honor Society in Health Professions
The Alpha Eta National Honor Society promotes and recognizes significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Baccalaureate degree candidates who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for induction. The Alpha Eta motto is "Together We Serve" to represent all of the allied health professions. Georgia State University became a founding member of Alpha Eta in March 1975.
