Georgia State University student Tomaya Carpenter has received the David W. Boykin Graduate Fellowship in Medicinal Chemistry. The Boykin Fellowship was established in 1999 to honor the former chair of the Department of Chemistry, David W. Boykin. It is awarded to an outstanding Ph.D. graduate student in medicinal chemistry. The College of Arts & Sciences provides a skills-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

The Lambda Beta National Honor Society was formed in 1986 to promote, recognize and honor scholarship, scholarly achievement, service, and character of students, graduates, and faculty members of the profession.

Georgia State University student Kyle Hardy has earned the Chemistry Undergraduate Gold Award. Hardy, of Jackson, graduated from Georgia State University in Fall 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the College of Arts & Sciences. The Chemistry Undergraduate Gold Award is awarded to undergraduate students based on the research they have presented.

This scholarship, established by the GSU Physical Therapy alumni, supports physical therapy students who demonstrate promise of becoming an excellent professional in the future.

This award is given to graduating students with a grade point average of 4.0 in the physical therapy program.

Georgia State University Mi-Tien Lee has earned the Bradford Scott Beerman Memorial Scholarship in Chemistry. The scholarship is awarded to students in memory of Bradford Scott Beerman, who graduated from Georgia State with a degree in Chemistry.

Georgia State University student Zhengnan Yuan has earned the Chemistry Doctoral Gold Award. The Chemistry Doctoral Gold Award is awarded to doctoral students based on the research they have presented.

Georgia State University student Michael Souffrant has been awarded the Al Baumstark Graduate Award in Chemistry. The Al Baumstark Graduate Award in Chemistry is awarded to students by the faculty and alumni of the Chemistry Department in honor of Georgia State organic chemistry professor Al Baumstark. The award provides financial aid to students pursuing doctoral degrees in chemistry and is inspired by Baumstark's commitment to increasing student diversity in science.

This award is given to the individual in the Department of Physical Therapy who provides ongoing, dynamic leadership and guidance to his or her class.

Betty Edouard received the Outstanding M.A.T. Student Award in Mathematics and Science from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development as part of its annual Honors Day celebration. This award is given to an outstanding student in the middle level education master of arts in teaching program based on academic achievement, teaching expertise, community service and a commitment to excellence.

The Professional Merit Award is presented to the student or students who has/have most actively participated in professional activities within the community and who demonstrates high standards of professionalism.

This award recognizes the students who have made an outstanding contribution to the research efforts of the Department of Physical Therapy and who exhibit potential of becoming significant contributors to the field of physical therapy research.

The Gordon Seagraves Cummings Scholarship/Award recognizes individuals who are both critical thinkers and caring, competent practitioners -- characteristics personified by Professor Gordon Cummings.
