Yuqi Chen received the Lorene C. Pilcher Scholarship Fund from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development as part of its annual Scholars Celebration. Lorene Pilcher, who was appointed the first research professor in the former College of Education by the Board of Regents, established this award to support an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in early childhood education who has a desire to become a teacher and demonstrates a passion for enhancing the lives of children.

Blakely Scholarship is offered to seniors majoring in Anthropology who show leadership potential in the field. Students are selected by faculty members to receive the scholarship based on academic achievement. The scholarship is awarded to students in memory of Dr. Robert Blakely's contribution to anthropological education as an associate professor at Georgia State.
