The School of Music annually hosts this prestigious competition where students compete for awards and prizes, the Honors Recital and Dean's Award. The Honors Recital and Dean's Award winner on March 7, was Sue Shin. Dr. Wade Weast, Dean of the College of the Arts, and Dr. Nickitas Demos, Director of the School of Music, were at hand to present Ms. Shin with the well-deserved award. Ms. Shin is from the piano studio of Raffi Besalyan. The Honors Recital and Dean's Award showcases the School of Music's most accomplished soloists selected by audition before an outside jury. Through a highly selective audition process, the recital's participants are determined.

Established in 2015 by alumnus Ed Baker, this scholarship provides support to an undergraduate or graduate student in the Robinson College whose academic achievement, initiative, persistence, character and integrity indicate outstanding potential for future success.

During the course of a year, approximately one-third of the College's Ph.D. students teach one or more course sections as Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs). These awards are given to recognize those GTAs with outstanding teaching records and performance in the classroom during the preceding calendar year.

The R. J. Knobel Scholarship was established upon Dr. Roland "Knob" Knobel's retirement in 1985, after teaching in the institute since 1970. This award is given to MHA students based on academic performance, and to recognize those who have achieved distinction through professional and community activities.

This scholarship, established by Stanley M. Baum in honor of Robert H. Shulman, rewards outstanding undergraduate or graduate students who have high academic achievement.

The scholarship fund was established by John P. Diercks to honor the memory of alumna, Claire Hammond Diercks. It is awarded based on scholastic achievement, leadership ability, active participation in student activities, and active member of Phi Chi Theta Chapter.

The Cindy & Jeff Warwick Scholarship for Real Estate students provides support to undergraduate and graduate level students who are pursuing a degree in Real Estate at Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

This scholarship was established in memory of the founder of Days Inn and the namesake of the School of Hospitality. It is awarded to hospitality majors based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

Awarded to two outstanding doctoral students in the School of Accountancy. Dr. Catherine Miles served as Chairman of the Accounting Department at GSU from 1955 to 1976 and was one of the founders of the GSU chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the accountancy honor society.

This scholarship, established to honor Robinson College alumnus Homer R. Hannah, rewards an outstanding undergraduate junior or senior with high academic achievement.

Funded by an endowment established by John H. Cowart, Sr. (John H. Cowart Properties, Inc.), this award is given annually to one or more real estate graduate or undergraduate students to pursue promising research under the direction of faculty in the Department of Real Estate. Both merit and need of candidates are evaluated.

This scholarship was established by State Farm to reward outstanding undergraduate students with high academic achievement, with a preference for Risk Management & Insurance majors.

Each year, ten students demonstrating high academic achievement receive scholarships from the School of Accountancy at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

The Chris Yannapoulos Scholarship was established in 1975 by Mr. Michael C. Carlos in memory of Christopher Yannapoulous, to benefit students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

Three Honors College students at Georgia State University have been awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.

The two-year, predoctoral fellowship from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA-NIFA) is given for research training and dissertation work. The fellowship is part of the USDA's Agriculture and Food Research Initiative - Education and Workforce Development program, producing future research leaders in food and agricultural sciences.

To be eligible for the President's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

This scholarship was established by the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance. Founded in 2009, AHA provides a forum for networking and professional development to Atlanta-area hotel owners, developers, operators, franchisors and professional service providers. This scholarship is presented to a hospitality major based on career interest in hotel development or management, academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

The national Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, which awards students up to $120,000 to complete their undergraduate education. Two students in Georgia received the award.

The Carl Manuelshagen History Award is awarded to students in honor of historian and theologist Carl Mauelshagen. The award is granted to an outstanding graduating history major who has completed three freshman history survey courses and has maintained a minimum grade-point average in upper-level history courses of 3.5. This scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding undergraduate or graduate Sociology student. This endowment was created by Margaret Andersen (B.A. Sociology, 1970) and her husband, Richard Rosenfeld. This award supports students pursuing doctoral degrees in chemistry. The award was established by the faculty and alumni of the Chemistry department in honor of Dr. Al Baumstark, organic chemist and former department chair, for his commitment to increasing student diversity in science. Phi Alpha Theta, the International Honor Society in History, provides members the opportunity to present papers and meet distinguished historians at conventions and conferences, apply for scholarships and prizes awarded by the national organization, participate in the annual regional meeting with other Mu-Tau Chapter members, and attend lectures, forums, debates, book reviews, film series, and many other programs, including social activities, with the Mu-Tau Chapter. Georgia State University student Sumit Kumar has received the Best Graduate Lab Assistant (GLA) Award in Mathematics. Kumar, of Raxaul, India, is a Mathematics master's degree student in the College of Arts & Sciences. The Graduate Lab Assistantship is one of several graduate assistantships for M.S. and Ph.D. students offered by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The Best Graduate Lab Assistant Award recognizes students for their excellent performance as an assistant.
