This honor society promotes and recognizes the significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Baccalaureate degree candidates who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for induction. The Alpha Eta motto is "Together We Serve" to represent all of the allied health professions. Georgia State University became a founding member of the Alpha Eta in March 1975.

Georgia State University recognizes one outstanding Coordinated Program student each year. Criteria for the award include academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and potential as a future dietetics professional.

The Nursing Student Leadership Award recognizes a student who has demonstrated initiative, motivation, dedication, and strong commitment to a Georgia State nursing student program or organization. This award is given to a student who demonstrates leadership abilities both within and outside of Georgia State University.

This award recognizes a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student for outstanding achievement and leadership within the clinical setting. The award is given to a DNP student whose leadership qualities emulate the highest of professional standards and exhibits exceptional compassion and commitment to patients, colleagues, and the profession of nursing.

This award recognizes students who have made outstanding research contributions, become a role model for other students and exhibited potential of becoming a significant contributor to the nursing profession.

This scholarship was established in memory of Daniel Sansone, son of Joseph Sansone, founder and CEO of Pediatria Healthcare, LLC and former Lewis School advisory board member. The Daniel J. Sansone Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student interested in pediatric nursing or respiratory therapy.

This award was established in memory of Merle Lott, who was Director of Nursing for the DeKalb County Health Department and a dedicated public health nurse in Georgia for over 30 years. It recognizes students who have demonstrated academic excellence and plan to pursue a career in public health nursing.

This award was established to honor Mrs. Byrdine F. Lewis for whom the Georgia State University School of Nursing was named in 2003. Throughout her nursing career, Mrs. Lewis exemplified a dedication to clinical practice and quality patient care. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate nursing students who have a strong academic record and who are committed to clinical practice in a hospital setting.

The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes a student who, in the judgment of the faculty, has performed exceptionally well in teaching.

This merit-based scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or juniors majoring in criminal justice in memory of E. P. "Phil" Peters, who directed the Georgia Bureau of Investigation from 1980-1985.

Shared by the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies' Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology and the School of Social Work, this merit-based scholarship is presented annually to a rising junior or senior majoring in each area. It was established by the Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges in memory of Chris Perrin, executive director of the council and an alumnus of Georgia State University.

The Dan E. Sweat Dissertation Fellowship supports doctoral students in completing dissertation research that addresses an urban, community or education issue and has policy relevance. It was established in honor of civic leader and Georgia State alumnus Dan E. Sweat.

The University Fellows honor was established by Georgia State University to support doctoral students engaged in the research of faculty recruited to join the Andrew Young School under the Second Century Initiative. The fellowship is awarded to outstanding students pursuing a Ph.D. in economics, public policy or criminal justice and criminology.
