Georgia State University Student Receives Chemistry Fellowship

Georgia State University student Xiaonan Deng has earned the Ambrose H. Pendergrast Fellowship in Chemistry. The Pendergrast Fellowship is awarded to an outstanding doctoral student in medicinal chemistry or biochemistry in honor of former Georgia State chemistry professor Ambrose Pendergrast.

2021 Eli A. Zubay Actuarial Science Award

The late Dr. Eli A. Zubay co-founded Georgia State University's Actuarial Science Program in 1958. This award recognizes academic excellence and is presented annually to the undergraduate actuarial science major with the highest overall grade-point average. Recipients must have accumulated at least 60, but no more than 90 semester credit hours, and must have completed at least 12 semester credit hours of actuarial science coursework with no grade lower than a "B."
