Georgia State University student Aisha Walker has received the John Warkentin Memorial Award. This award is made annually to a graduate student showing outstanding potential in psychotherapy as well as financial need. John Warkentin was a psychiatrist in Atlanta who died in 1983. Dr. Warkentin and his wife, who was a clinical psychologist, were strong supporters of the psychotherapy program in the 1970s.

Georgia State University graduate Ningxin Zhu was awarded the William G. Nolan Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding undergraduate students who excel in academic achievement based on grade point average, intellectual inquisitiveness, and research activities, and who show leadership and good citizenship at Georgia State University and in other communities. The scholarship was created in memory of former Associate Professor of Biology William G. Nolan.

Georgia State University student Pratima Kumari has been awarded the Timothy Jon Bartness Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was established in memory of Timothy Jon Bartness (1953-2015), who joined the Biology department faculty in 1988. Bartness was a Regents' Professor and founding director of the Center for Obesity Reversal. He was internationally celebrated for his research on obesity and metabolic physiology in addition to mentoring young scientists.

Georgia State University student Shirong Wong has received the Neurobiology Fellowship. The fellowship provides an award for an outstanding graduate student in the neurobiology program.

Georgia State University student Maria Lozada Chinchilla has received the Kevin M. Brady Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship supports undergraduate students who are enrolled in the premed/prehealth concentration program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Recipients must be in good academic standing, be a top-performing student majoring in biology with a concentration in premed/pre-health disciplines, and have a demonstrated financial need.

The Borden D. Dent Excellence in Cartography award recognizes students' accomplishments in cartography and is named in memory of Dr. Dent, a Georgia State professor emeritus and former chairman of the Department of Geography and Anthropology.

The Ahmed T. Abdelal Fellowship in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology is given to outstanding Ph.D. students for achievement in the field of molecular genetics or biotechnology. This award is named in honor of former Dean Ahmed T. Abdelal, who established the molecular genetics and biotechnology program at Georgia State University.

Sheena Porter received the Outstanding Health and Physical Education Undergraduate Student Award from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development as part of its annual Honors Day celebration.

Georgia State University graduate Forrest Dabbs received the David E. Ogren Memorial Endowed Scholarship during the 2021-22 academic year. The scholarship is given to a student for outstanding service to the Department of Geosciences and was created to honor the memory of David E. Ogren, Professor Emeritus in Geology.

The Andrew Altman Social Justice Scholarship is awarded to a member of the incoming Master of Arts in Philosophy class every year who on the basis of their application will make a strong contribution to advancing these goals through their scholarship, teaching, and service.

Martin Branick received the Outstanding Sport Administration Graduate Student Award from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development as part of its annual Honors Day celebration.

This award is given in recognition of outstanding scholarship, teaching and/or service in the educational psychology doctoral degree program.

Georgia State University student Carly Marie Alaimo has received the Paul Bowles Graduate Fellowship in Fiction Writing. The fellowship is awarded to exceptional graduate students who have been accepted into a graduate program in creative writing, with a specialization in fiction writing.

Georgia State University student Brian A. Spann has received the Outstanding English Major Award. Spann received the award for his outstanding work in English throughout his time at Georgia State.

The Dabney A. Hart Scholarship provides support for students who have declared a major in English and have received a nomination and recommendation from a faculty member in the English department for an outstanding student essay. The recipient of the award must be a current sophomore or junior in good academic standing, have submitted an outstanding end-of-course essay, and have provided a recommendation/nomination letter from an English department faculty member.

Georgia State University student Jeddie M. Biggers recently received the Eleanor M. Pratt Endowment for English Majors Award at the junior and senior level. The award is given to an exceptional student for whom the study of writing or literature has made a significant impact. This fund was created to honor the legacy of Eleanor Mary Pratt, who had a deep spiritual faith and a love of literature, the English language, and the fine arts.
