To be eligible for the President's List during the summer semester, degree-seeking students with a minimum Georgia State University cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 must earn a 4.0 GPA for the semester and complete at least 6 semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.

The award was established by the faculty and alumni of the Chemistry Department in honor of Al Baumstark, organic chemist and former department chair, for his commitment to increasing student diversity in science.

Georgia State University student MiDestin'e Waldron has received the Bruschini Scholarship for Community Service Involvement. This scholarship provides support to undergraduate students who are actively engaged in community service through public service or volunteer work with a non-profit, faith-based organization or community group. Recipients must be in good academic standing, have demonstrated financial need, and document community service involvement and volunteer activities.

Georgia State University student Adriana Escorza has earned the Lee Project Endowed Scholarship. Allison Webb created the Lee Project Scholarship in memory of Lee Lowery III, who was a student at Georgia State University and a graduate of the former Grady High School (now Midtown High School), where he was a scholar and athlete. This scholarship is awarded to a high-achieving student who has experienced a form of adversity or tragedy.

Georgia State University student Wanjiku Ngugi has received the Virginia Spencer Carr Graduate Fellowship. This award, created in honor of Virginia Spencer Carr by her friends and former students, is given each year to an outstanding woman prose writer selected by the creative writing faculty.

Georgia State University student Jhazzmyn Joiner has received the Harold V. and Anna Marie Little Scholarship in Gerontology. Given in honor of Harold V. Little and in memory of Anna Marie Little by their family, this scholarship is awarded to an outstanding entering or first-year master's degree student.

Georgia State University student Leonardo Andres Maduro-Salvarrey has been awarded the Robert L. Blakely Endowed Scholarship in Anthropology. Maduro-Salvarrey, of Duluth, is majoring in anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences. The Robert L. Blakely Endowed Scholarship in Anthropology recognizes an anthropology senior who shows strong potential in the field. It was established in memory of Blakely, a former Georgia State anthropology professor, and his contribution to anthropology education. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skills-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Georgia State University student Ramya Tekumalla has received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the Department of Computer Science. This award is given to outstanding graduate students in the computer science department.

Georgia State University student Samual Kolawole has received the Endowed Scholarship in Creative Writing. This scholarship is awarded to an exceptional student in the fiction writing program. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skills-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Georgia State University student Patrick Walsh-King has received the George W. Beiswanger Award. This endowed award goes to an undergraduate major on the basis of overall academic excellence, including GPA, undergraduate research projects, B.A. thesis work, and participation in academically oriented departmental activities. The award was endowed by philosophy alum Kay Craigie in honor of Beiswanger, who was a Professor of Philosophy at Georgia State from 1963 to 1970.

Georgia State University student Denise Wong has received the Orbun Troy Moore III Undergraduate Ethics Essay Contest Award. The award is given annually to the undergraduate student who submits the best essay to the Jean Beer Blumenfeld Center for Ethics essay contest. The award was established with the generous support of Katherine B. Moore in the loving memory of her son.
