Doctoral student Caroline Rabalais is the 2024 recipient of the International Literacy Association's Helen M. Robinson Grant.

The Wayne S. Kell Award for Academic Achievement is given to the senior who has achieved the highest scholastic average for all course work taken at Georgia State.

The Excellence in Research Award is given for exceptional performance in research involvement as a master's student in communication sciences and disorders.

The Lakendra Fort Kindness Award is given by Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development for exemplifying kindness towards others and taking the initiative to provide support to and collaborate with fellow students, staff and faculty.

Perry Houck is the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, given for exceptional performance in academic coursework in communication sciences and disorders.

Ally Tankersley is the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Student Clinician Award, given for excellence and creativity in clinical skills in communication disorders.

Hassan Davis is working this summer with 23 East Communications Group and MARTA to support their social media, communications, and outreach initiatives while putting his production and post-production skills to work. Hassan completed the 2-year Inclusive Digital Expression and Literacy (IDEAL) Program in Spring 2024 and will continue to take classes at Georgia Statenext year. Hassan is a skilled video editor, a lover of trains, and a natural on camera.

Macy Diehl is the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Community Service Award, given for exceptional community service at the local, state or national level as a master's student in communication sciences and disorders.

Alicia Culberson is the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Master's Student Award, given in recognition of outstanding scholarship and clinical service in the communication sciences and disorders master's degree program.

Adrianne Robertson is the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Dissertation in Counselor Education and Practice Award, given in recognition of a dissertation of especially high quality and potential impact in the field of counselor education and practice.

The Outstanding Doctoral Student Award in Counselor Education and Practice is given to a doctoral student in recognition of academic performance, service to the department and professional promise.

Four IDEAL at GSU students with Down Syndrome received scholarships during Spring 2024 semester from the National Down Syndrome Congress, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.The National Down Syndrome Congress is dedicated to an improved world for individuals with Down syndrome. They are the leading national resource of support and information for anyone touched by or seeking to learn about Down syndrome. Each student received $500 in scholarship to go towards GSU tuition and attending the IDEAL Program. Students who received the scholarship are: Angad Sahgal, Cameron Kindree, Oluremi Ademola Dada, and Rahul Sivakumar.

The Outstanding Dissertation in Counseling Psychology Award is given in recognition of a dissertation of especially high quality and potential impact in the field of counseling psychology.

IDEAL at Georgia State is an inclusive postsecondary education program for students with intellectual disabilities to audit classes in arts and related media departments while learning adult life skills at the university's Downtown Atlanta campus.

The Nell Hamilton Trotter Award recognizes an outstanding commitment to student involvement and is the highest student leadership award presented by the university.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

The Outstanding Rehabilitation Counseling Student Award is given to a master's student in the rehabilitation counseling program in recognition of a strong commitment to the profession and advocating for people with disabilities.

The Outstanding School Counseling Student Award is given to a master's student in the school counseling program in recognition of initiative, leadership, advocacy and service to the school counseling profession and program.

The Outstanding Dissertation in School Psychology Award is given in recognition of a dissertation of especially high quality and potential impact in the field of school psychology.

The Outstanding Doctoral Student Award in School Psychology is given to a school psychology doctoral student in recognition of academic performance, service to the department and professional promise.

The Outstanding School Psychology Student Award is given to a master's or educational specialist student in the school psychology program in recognition of initiative, leadership, advocacy and service to the school psychology profession and program.
