Aleksandra Krupina is the 2024 recipient of the JoAnna White Play Therapy Scholarship, which is given to a graduate student in good standing in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services who is dedicated to the study and clinical practice of play therapy.

Providence Blalock is the 2024 recipient of the Kay Chester Scholarship for Teachers in Training, which supports a woman pursuing a degree in teacher preparation who has the challenge of raising a family while furthering her education.

Jordan Pearson is the 2024 recipient of the Felicia and Rodney Mayfield Scholarship, which recognizes a deserving undergraduate student in the College of Education & Human Development.

Three students received the College of Education & Human Development Scholarship from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development (CEHD) as part of its annual Scholars Reception. This scholarship recognizes individuals with outstanding accomplishments in the CEHD.

Caroline Bedingfield Rabalais is the 2024 recipient of the Asa G. Hilliard III Memorial Scholarship, which is given in recognition of leadership, engagement in urban education settings that has improved and demonstrates promise to continue improving the educational context and/or student development and learning in these settings.

Instructional technology doctoral student Gozde Uzun co-authored a paper entitled, "Self-Regulation, Self-Efficacy and Fear of Failure Interactions with How Novices Use LLMs to Solve Programming Problems," which has been accepted for the Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education Conference.

Communication sciences and disorders master's students Becky Hogan, Calia Howse and Claire Warner received GSHFoundation Scholarships from the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation.

Educational psychology doctoral student Anne Lorio received a $1,000 award from the American Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (APTA Georgia) for her dissertation research.

Early childhood and elementary education doctoral students Maria Cerrato and Elizabeth Sanders co-authored an article entitled, "How Dual Language Bilingual Education Preservice Teachers Draw Upon and Develop Students' Sociocultural Competence," which was published in Foreign Language Annals.

The Wellness in the Law Society's mission is to provide students with a comprehensive approach to wellness, encompassing mental, physical, social, emotional, intellectual, professional, and inner purpose/values. Through a variety of initiatives, they aim to offer educational opportunities throughout the academic year, focusing on promoting wellness, health, and balance.

The American Constitution Society at Georgia State University is comprised of law students committed to championing the enduring significance of the U.S. Constitution and its core principles: safeguarding individual rights and liberties, fostering genuine equality, ensuring access to justice, upholding democracy, and promoting the rule of law. This organization believes in the transformative potential of the law to positively impact the lives of every individual.

The Black Law Student Association strives to promote the educational and professional needs and goals of Black law students. We seek to influence the legal community to bring about meaningful change that addresses the needs and concerns of the Black community. BLSA (pronounced bahl - sa) attempts to effectuate these goals by mentoring our members and by bringing our membership into contact with practicing attorneys in nearly every legal practice area. Also, BLSA sponsors innovative and informative forums, which address current issues in legal practice and general issues that affect the community at large.

The Environmental Law Society (ELS) is a student group at our law school focused on environmental, real estate, and energy law. ELS hosts events, attends conferences, engages in community service, and offers opportunities for outdoor activities and moot court competitions.

To be eligible for the President's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.
