Harry and Julie Dangel, both Georgia State University Professors Emeriti, established this scholarship in memory of Harry Dangel's mother, Eleanor M. Dangel. Honoring her belief in the importance of access to a quality education, this scholarship supports students in the College of Education & Human Development who are pursuing teacher certification in early childhood education and/or special education.

Darryl Holloman, a three-time Georgia State University alumnus and former dean of students at the university, established this scholarship in memory of his younger brother, David Jemel Holloman. This memorial scholarship is awarded to an exceptional undergraduate student in the College of Education & Human Development majoring in early childhood and elementary education.

This award honors a student majoring and excelling in mathematics with a focus in teacher preparation.

The Susan Crim-McClendon Teacher Leader Scholarship recognizes students currently enrolled in a teaching certification program within the college who are committed to serving in an urban school setting.

The College of Education & Human Development's Alonzo and Gwendolyn Crim Endowed Scholarship supports a student in the College of Education & Human Development who is actively engaged in the Alonzo A. Crim for Urban Educational Excellence and is committed to advancing educational excellence in urban schools.

The College of Education & Human Development's Bradford and Patricia Ferrer Scholarship in Education supports undergraduate students preparing for a career in teaching who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Romonda Middlebrooks-Jefferson is the 2026 recipient of the College of Education & Human Development's Asa G. Hilliard, III Memorial Scholarship.

The College of Education & Human Development Scholarship recognizes individuals with outstanding accomplishments in the College of Education & Human Development. Undergraduate and graduate students who receive this scholarship are presently enrolled in the college, have completed at least 30 hours of coursework, are in good standing and show a pattern of department/program involvement or scholarship.

Osiris Zelaya is the 2026 recipient of the College of Education & Human Development's Dr. Cynthia Kuhlman and Dr. Wayne Sengstock Scholarship.

The Nell Hamilton Trotter Award is Georgia State University's highest award for student leadership.
