Georgia State University Student Jan Li Publishes Book Chapter
Georgia State University student Xian Jan Li recently published a chapter in the book "Crossing Boundaries in Researching, Understanding, and Improving Language Education." Li, of Changsha, China, is a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics & ESL in the College of Arts and Sciences. His chapter was titled "Non-Expert Raters' Scoring Behavior and Cognition in Assessing Pragmatic Production in L2 Chinese." Li wrote the chapter with the help of fellow Applied Linguistics student Yali Feng. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Georgia State University Student Yoon Namkung Receives Travel Grant
Georgia State University student Yoon Namkung recently received a travel grant to present research at the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL). Namkung, of Seoul, South Korea, is a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics & ESL at the College of Arts and Sciences. Yoon will be presenting with Professor Ute Roemer on their work titled "L2 learners' use of phrase-frames across proficiency levels: Comparing written and oral production." Her travel grant is from Comite International Permanent des Linguistes/Permanent International Committee of Linguists. The AAAL 2023 Conference is a research conference known for its comprehensive linguistic research. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Georgia State University College of Law 2023-2024 Moot Court Board
Each year, the Georiga State University College of Law Moot Court Competition Team competes in several of the most challenging and prestigious moot court competitions throughout the country to hone their appellate advocacy skills.
