The award recognizes student achievement in the field of visual arts. Students submit original works of visual art to be reviewed by a committee comprised of faculty, staff and student leadership from the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design and the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office.

Welch School of Art & Design and the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office. A first place winner, a second place winner and 10 honorable mentions were chosen for the 2014 Dean's Art Award.

The Honors College Ambassadors corps is composed of a diverse and dedicated group of outstanding Honors College students who desire to hone their leadership skills, while also contributing to the Honors College legacy. These student leaders serve as representatives of the Honors College at a variety of internal and external events.

The Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate research conference which highlights and recognizes the research taking place across Georgia State's campus. The GSURC Student Planning Committee consists of nine Honors College students who assist with event planning and execution.

Diana Snyder was named the first recipient of the Kirkland-Sattelmeyer Scholarship.

Ned Golubovic and Tom Murphy, two students in the College of Education's Counselor Education and Practice doctoral program, have been named 2015-2016 Chi Sigma Iota Leadership Fellows.

This award, established in memory of James Ancil Lewis, honors his exemplary work in respiratory therapy: from his graduation in 1973 until his death in 1992. This award is given to a junior in the program who exemplifies Mr. Lewis' characteristics of service to others, particularly in clinical work and direct patient care.

This award recognizes a senior undergraduate and graduate student with the highest grade point average achieved in the respiratory therapy program.

The staff of Georgia State University’s student newspaper, The Signal, took home a total of 15 awards at the Georgia College Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest Feb. 7 in Athens, Ga., recognizing excellence among student newspapers at Georgia colleges and universities. The Signal competed in Division A against some of the largest college newspapers in Georgia.
