Graduate students in the areas of criminal justice and criminology, economics, public management and policy, and social work presented poster displays highlighting their research, internship and capstone experiences at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies' Public Service Research End Event, May 5, 2015.

The Thoben Elrod Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. Eligibility for this scholarship is limited to students who are residents of the State of Georgia.

The Everett Johnson Scholarship is awarded annually to graduate students enrolled full-time at Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business Institute of Health Administration. Recipients must demonstrate academic achievement.

Awarded for academic excellence and participation in the sports medicine graduate degree program.

Presented to a master's student in the School of Counseling program in recognition of initiative, leadership, advocacy and service to the school counseling profession and program.

The Max G. Holland Memorial Scholarship is presented annually to the student with the highest grade-point average after completing at least 30 hours in the CAHME-accredited graduate program in health administration. The scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Max Holland, who was on the faculty of the institute from 1976 to 1989.

The R. C. Williams, M.D., Honor Award was established to honor the late Dr. Williams, who founded the Hospital Administration program at Georgia State in 1952. The award is given to the graduate student in the Institute of Health Administration demonstrating outstanding leadership in the profession through university, community and work-related endeavors.

The R. J. Knobel Scholarship was established upon Dr. Roland "Knob" Knobel's retirement in 1985, after teaching in the institute since 1970. This award is given to MHA students based on academic performance, and to recognize those who have achieved distinction through professional and community activities.

The Nell Hamilton Trotter Student Leadership Award recognizes a student who has enjoyed academic success while playing a significant role in campus leadership.

The Kell Award is given to the senior who has achieved the highest scholastic average with all course work taken at Georgia State.

The Spirit of Service award honors The 1913 Society member who worked the most events during the academic year.

The Rising Star award honors a 1913 Society member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership skills with only one year of service in The 1913 Society.

The Community Impact award honors a 1913 Society member who advocates for The 1913 Society in all areas of campus.

The Academic Honors award is given annually to The 1913 Society member with the highest GPA.

The Silver Shield award honors a 1913 Society member who exemplifies the organization's "service without self" motto while maintaining academic excellence, campus involvement and, above all, humility. It is The 1913 Society's highest honor.

Two Georgia State University Honors College students secured the prestigious and competitive Gilman scholarship on their road to studying abroad.

This award, established in honor of Diane Caves, a graduate of the Andrew Young School's M.P.A. program who was tragically killed while working in Haiti, is given annually to a Master of Public Administration student who demonstrates academic excellence and a strong commitment to public service.

The Dean's Fellowship is awarded annually to an outstanding student or students pursuing a doctoral degree in the Andrew Young School. Established in honor of Ambassador Andrew Young by The Coca-Cola Foundation, each fellowship awarded provides support for three years of doctoral study.

The Dan Sweat Dissertation Fellowship supports doctoral students in completing dissertation research that addresses an urban, community or education issue and has policy relevance. It was established in honor of civic leader and Georgia State alumnus Dan E. Sweat.

The Andrew Young School Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to recognize outstanding student leaders and scholars in the policy school. It provides financial assistance to undergraduates who demonstrate academic merit, leadership and need.

This award is given annually in honor of former Governor Joe Frank Harris, whose administration was noted for improvements in education, and who serves as a Distinguished Executive Fellow in the Andrew Young School. It is given to a Georgia resident student or students in the school based on academic merit.

The University Fellows honor was established by Georgia State University to support doctoral students engaged in the research of faculty recruited to join the Andrew Young School under the Second Century Initiative. The fellowship is awarded to outstanding students pursuing a Ph.D. in economics, public policy or criminal justice and criminology.

The Bobby Joe Chancey Sr. Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a rising sophomore or junior in criminal justice who is planning a career in law enforcement. It was established in honor of a distinguished law enforcement officer who served the Camden County, Georgia, Sheriff's Department for 16 years.

This merit-based scholarship was established in honor of James L. Maddex Jr., a professor emeritus of criminal justice who retired from Georgia State University in 2000. It is awarded annually to an undergraduate or graduate criminal justice major.

The Chris Perrin Memorial Scholarship is a merit-based award presented annually to a rising junior or senior majoring in social work or criminal justice and criminology. It was established by the Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges in memory of Chris Perrin, an executive director of the council and a Georgia State University alumnus.
