The Gordon Seagraves Cummings Scholarship/Award recognizes individuals who are both critical thinkers and caring, competent practitioners -- characteristics personified by Professor Gordon Cummings.

In memory of Dr. Virgil Jacobs, former anatomist in the physical therapy program, this award is given to the student who best exemplifies the qualities of intelligence, compassion, fairness, honesty, and sincerity in addition to outstanding scholarly anatomical competence.

This award is given to the individual in the Department of Physical Therapy who provides ongoing, dynamic leadership and guidance to his or her class.

The Professional Merit Award is presented to the student or students who has/have most actively participated in professional activities within the community and who demonstrates high standards of professionalism.

The Respiratory Therapy Student Service Award is presented to a graduating respiratory therapy student or students who, in the opinion of the faculty, exhibit a willingness to provide service to the department's outreach efforts.

The Faculty Recognition Award is presented to graduating respiratory therapy students who, in the opinion of the faculty, exhibit a positive professional attitude and a willingness to serve the needs of classmates, the community, and the profession of respiratory therapy.

This award recognizes a graduating student or students with the highest GPA achieved in the respiratory therapy progam.

The Lambda Beta National Honor Society was formed in 1986 to promote, recognize and honor scholarship, scholarly achievement, service, and character of students, graduates, and faculty members of the profession.

The Alpha Eta National Honor Society promotes and recognizes significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Baccalaureate degree candidates who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for induction. The Alpha Eta motto is "Together We Serve" to represent all of the allied health professions. Georgia State University became a founding member of Alpha Eta in March 1975.

This award is given to the student who has most actively participated in professional activities within the community, demonstrating high standards of professionalism, while maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

This award is given to the graduating student in occupational therapy who personifies great character through leadership, community service and overall personal integrity and academic history.

This award is given to the Occupational Therapy student who maintains the structure and integrity of the class. This student has a strong commitment to the occupational therapy profession, is an avid patient advocate and is respected by faculty and peers.

This award recognizes the Occupatonal Thearpy student who has made an outstanding contribution to the research efforts of the Department of Occupational Therapy and who exhibits the potential of becoming a significant contributor to the field of occupational therapy research.

This award is given to students who have demonstrated academic achievement, have strong leadership skills, and strong potential as future health IT professionals.

This award, given by the U.S. Army, supports the nursing education of worthy students who are U.S. citizens in an accredited baccalaureate or graduate nursing or anesthesia program.

This award is given to an undergraduate student or students with outstanding academic performance, demonstrated leadership and potential as a future dietetics professional.

Kiana Colquitt, a Master of Science in Marketing student of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, successfully completed a graduate assistantship for the Office of the Provost as the first person to hold the position, where she provided valuable assistance with writing, editing, photography and background research during the 2018-19 academic year.

The Religious Studies Endowed Scholarship is the first endowed award in Religious Studies, created by Religious studies alumni to recognize outstanding scholarship and academic potential in an undergraduate major.

The Bailey M. Wade Memorial Scholarship is awarded to support graduate students who demonstrate need, merit, and career goals in keeping with those manifested in the life of Dr. Bailey M. Wade during his life and tenure with the university's psychology department.

The Robert H. Hankla Endowment Award provides support for senior undergraduate students majoring in Physics. Students considered for the award must be outstanding undergraduate students who are eligible to graduate during the academic year in which the award is given. The scholarship was created by the family of Robert H. Hankla in his honor. Dr. Hankla was an associate professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy for 30 years, and assistant dean and director of graduate studies in the College of Arts and Sciences for 10 years.

The Robert W. Sellen Scholarship In History is awarded to a qualified freshman, sophomore, or rising junior with a declared major in history and with an overall grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. This fund was created to honor the memory of Robert W. Sellen, a history professor at Georgia State.

The Harold V. and Anna Marie Little Scholarship in Gerontology is given in honor of Harold V. Little and in memory of Anna Marie Little by their family. This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding entering or first-year master's degree student.

The Dr. Steve and Lynne Wrigley Study Abroad Scholarship was created by Dr. Steve and Lynne Wrigley to help make studying abroad a reality for students majoring in History. Dr. Steve Wrigley earned a B.A. in History from Georgia State and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University. Lynne Wrigley earned a B.S. in Math from Georgia State.

The Charles and Catherine B. Rice Scholarship was established in honor of Charles and Catherine B. Rice. This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding entering or first-year master's degree student.

This award recognizes students who have made outstanding research contributions, have become a role model for other students and have exhibited potential of becoming a significant contributor to the nursing profession.

The Nursing Student Leadership Award recognizes a student who has demonstrated initiative, motivation, dedication, and strong commitment to a Georgia State nursing student program or organization. This award is given to a student who demonstrates leadership abilities both within and outside of Georgia State University.

Afifa Avril is the 2019 recipient of the Outstanding M.Ed. Student Award in Science Education.

Galacyale Alasow is the 2019 recipient of the Outstanding M.A.T. Student Award in Mathematics and Science.

Joshua Akinola-King, Chair of SGA's Atlanta Senate Student Life Committee was awarded the Carole Ann Golder Memorial Scholarship at the SGA Awards and Inauguration Luncheon on May 3, 2018. He has been involved with SGA since becoming a Senator for the Robinson College of Business in 2017. He is also a Deputy Ambassador for the Andrew Goodman Foundation's Vote Everywhere Project and is a member of the 1913 Society at Georgia State University. Sharnese Vaughn is the 2019 recipient of the Outstanding M.A.T. Student Award in Language Arts and Social Studies.
