Perimeter College students in 21 disciplines are eligible for student academic honors. While each discipline has its own appropriate criteria by which nominees are consider and selected, all academic honors recipients represent a decision by faculty that the student's academic results and progress, activities and pursuits and overall attitude and engagement are truly outstanding in that specific discipline.

A Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree is intended for individuals who have already earned degrees in law to gain more specialized knowledge about specific areas of the legal profession. The university honored students for their achievements this past May, and officially conferred LL.M. degrees in late June 2019.

The Sara M. Hunt Clinical Excellence Award is given to a Coordinated Program student who has displayed outstanding performance in the clinical setting.

The Johnnie W. Prothro Academic Excellence Award is given to an undergraduate student in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions who has achieved a high level of academic excellence in the nutrition program.

The Occupational Therapy Academic Excellence Award is given to a graduating second year student with a GPA of 4.0 in the occupational therapy program who also exhibits overall academic excellence.

The Occupational Therapy Leadership Excellence Award goes to the student who provides ongoing, dynamic leadership and guidance to his or her class and maintains a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Eleven students in the Honors College at Georgia State University presented their undergraduate research during the 2019 National Conference on Undergraduate Research.

This award is given to graduating students with a grade point average of 4.0 in the physical therapy program.

The Keystone Award is given to a student or students who, through example, maintain the structure and integrity of the class. Awardees demonstrate a strong commitment to the physical therapy profession, are avid patient advocates, and are respected by faculty and peers.
