Noah Britton, an undergraduate student studying journalism at Georgia State University, was selected as an alternate for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The Fulbright Student Fellowship provides students with the opportunity to live and work abroad. To be competitive for the fellowship, candidates must have an excellent academic background, demonstrate leadership in their respective fields and be willing to serve as ambassadors during this cultural exchange.

Caitlin Ray received the Outstanding B.I.S. in Human Learning and Development Student Award from Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development. This award is given to an undergraduate student of academic distinction who shows potential through research, community involvement and leadership by making significant contributions within the fields of human learning and development.

The Honors Thesis Pitch challenges undergraduate students to articulate their research projects in a compelling and engaging way in just three minutes or less. The competition is hosted each semester by the Honors College at Georgia State and is co-sponsored by the Center for the Advancement of Students and Alumni (CASA).

Dani Davis, a senior biology major, is the winner of the Spring 2020 Honors Thesis Pitch at Georgia State University. Davis' presentation, "Conservation of the World's Most Ancient Flowering Plant Through Cryopreservation," highlighted her undergraduate project in which she is developing a long-term seed storage protocol for plant species. Art education major Adela Lopez won third place for Global Engagement during the virtual 2020 Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference.

This is a new award, sponsored by the Office of International Initiatives, that recognizes outstanding presentations on research or creative work addressing global or international issues.
