Catherine E. Miles Fellowship
Awarded to two outstanding doctoral students in the School of Accountancy. Dr. Catherine Miles served as Chairman of the Accounting Department at GSU from 1955 to 1976 and was one of the founders of the GSU chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the accountancy honor society.

Two outstanding accounting students received a scholarship in honor of William Lee Burge. A native Atlantan, William Lee Burge started working as a teenager in the mailroom of the Retail Credit Company and later rose to become the company's Chairman of the Board. The company is known today as Equifax.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support for students who are majoring in marketing at the Robinson College of Business. The recipients of the award must be currently majoring in marketing, have a demonstrated financial need as determined by the GSU Office of Financial Aid, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have high potential for a successful career in marketing.

The purpose of the Martin Sherry/ Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club fund is to award a scholarship to students who are currently enrolled as Marketing majors, are currently in good academic standing, who are classified as Georgia residents for University tuition purposes and who will not have graduated when the scholarship is received. Recipients must have demonstrated financial need and acceptable academic performance (3.0 GPA in major).

2020 Eli A. Zubay Actuarial Science Award
The late Dr. Eli A. Zubay co-founded Georgia State University's Actuarial Science Program in 1958. This award recognizes academic excellence and is presented annually to the undergraduate actuarial science major with the highest overall grade-point average. Recipients must have accumulated at least 60, but no more than 90 semester credit hours, and must have completed at least 12 semester credit hours of actuarial science coursework with no grade lower than a "B."

2020 Floyd S. Harper Actuarial Science Award
The late Dr. Floyd S. Harper joined Georgia State's faculty in 1958 and was instrumental in the creation of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance's Actuarial Science Program. This award is presented annually to a graduating senior in actuarial science in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and character- qualities that Dr. Harper strove to develop in his students.

Robert W. Batten served as professor and director of Georgia State's Actuarial Science Program for 25 years. This award is presented annually to an actuarial science student in recognition of outstanding performance in actuarial mathematics.
