Umniah Al Bayati won the Provost Award and first place for a poster presentation in Social & Behavioral Sciences and Humanities titled "The Intersection of ISIS Video Production and Influencing Events" in the 2019 Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference.

Anne Jean won the Provost Award and first place for a poster presentation in Natural Sciences titled "Biophysical Analysis of the Heme Uptake Protein ChtA from Corynebacterium diptheriae" at the 2019 Georgia State State Undergraduate Research Conference.

Rachel Burke won second place for an oral presentation in humanities titled "Endangering Transgender Prisoner Rights with the Overhaul of PREA" in the 2019 Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference.

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship is awarded each year to outstanding college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering.

The Nell Hamilton Trotter Student Leadership Award recognizes an outstanding commitment to student involvement and is the highest student leadership award presented by Georgia State University.

This award recognizes the students who have made an outstanding contribution to the research efforts of the Department of Physical Therapy and who exhibit potential of becoming significant contributors to the field of physical therapy research.

This award, established in memory of James Ancil Lewis, honors his exemplary work in respiratory therapy: from his graduation in 1973 until his death in 1992. This award is given to a junior(s) in the program who exemplifies Mr. Lewis' characteristics of service to others, particularly in clinical work and direct patient care.

The Wayne S. Kell Award for Academic Achievement is given to the senior who has achieved the highest scholastic average for all course work taken at Georgia State University.

The Lewis College Graduate Research Conference, which is sponsored by the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions Office of Research, provides graduate students in nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy the opportunity to exhibit their research in a poster presentation to colleagues in the university. First and second place are selected by a panel of judges from disciplines across the university.

Membership in Sigma Theta Tau is an honor conferred on students in the baccalaureate and graduate programs who have demonstrated excellence in their nursing program. Georgia State University is home to the Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society in Nursing.

The Ernest Fritz Memorial Field Camp Endowment provides annual scholarships to students enrolled in the summer geosciences field camp course who are in good academic standing.

The Allen and Eleanor Hollingsworth Scholarship is given in memory of Allen and Eleanor Hollingsworth by their family. This scholarship is presented to an outstanding entering or first-year master's degree student in the Gerontology program

Teodora Mitroi won second place for their oral presentation in Natural and Computational Sciences titled "Optimizing a Neural Behavior Model of the Sea Slug Melibe leonine" in the 2019 Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference.

Aaliya Ahmad won first place for her oral presentation in Natural and Computational Sciences titled "Sensory System of the Second Antenna of the American Lobster, Homarus americanus: Distribution of Sensilla and Expression of Receptor Proteins" in the 2019 Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference.

Douglas Tiller won first place for his musical performance titled "Performance Practice in Malcolm Arnold's 'Divertimento for Wind Trio'" in the 2019 Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference.

Brianna Cheek is the 2019 recipient of Georgia State University's Outstanding Sport Administration Graduate Student Award.

Nyopea Smith is the 2019 recipient of the Lorene C. Pilcher Scholarship.

Lashawnda Anderson is the 2019 recipient of Georgia State University's Outstanding Master's Student in Special Education Award.

The Jeremy Gillen Memorial Scholarship in Anthropology recognizes a senior major who shows strong potential in the field of anthropology, in memory of Mr. Gillen's enthusiasm for the field.
