ROTC Military Commision
Six ROTC cadets studying at Georgia State University received their commission on August 14th in a virtual ceremony. The cadets satisfied multiple requirements, including a 45 day evaluation course at Fort Knox, KY, in order to receive their commission as 2nd Lieutenants in one of the U.S. Army's three components; Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard. These cadets compete based on performance and talent management to be placed in one of the 17 branches across the Army. U.S. Army Reserve Brigadier General Vincent E. Buggs delivered a resounding virtual commissioning address. The GSU Panther ROTC Battalion Professor of Military Science and Military Science Department Chair, Lieutenant Colonel Donald J. Harris, delivered the Oath of Office.
