School of Public Health graduate student Amna Tariq has received an international fellowship from the American Association of University Women for the 2016-2017 year.

The Ambrose H. Pendergrast Fellowship is awarded to an outstanding, medicinal chemistry/biochemistry doctoral student. The fellowship is named in honor of former chemistry Professor Ambrose H. Pendergrast.

The Neurobiology and Behavior Graduate Fellowship is awarded to a senior graduate student for outstanding research and scholarship in the neurobiology and behavior program.

The Donald Ahearn Endowed Fellowship in Applied and Environmental Microbiology was established in honor of Dr. Ahearn becoming a Research Professor Emeritus. The fellowship recognizes his contributions in instruction, research and service in the development of applied and environmental microbiology programs at Georgia State University.

The Ethel Illges Woodruff Fellowship in Southern History is awarded to a graduate student who intends to pursue the masters program with a concentration in southern history.

The Jenny Thurston Fellowship and Award in Heritage Preservation is an annual award and internship with the Atlanta Urban Design Commission. The fellowship is given to an outstanding historic preservationist in Atlanta.
