Three Georgia State University College of Law students were named 2024 Justice John Paul Stevens Public Interest Fellows. Jiovanny Dominguez (J.D. '25), Aaliyah Knight (J.D. '26) and Aimee Lyons (J.D. '25) are all members of the 2024 Stevens Fellows cohort, consisting of 157 law students nationwide who work in public interest law.

Counselor education and practice doctoral student Melanie Calhoun was selected as an intern for Chi Sigma Iota's 2025-2026 Leadership Fellowship and Internship Program.

Teaching and learning doctoral student Justice Ejike has been selected for one of 15 highly competitive annual fellowships with the Community for Advancing Discovery Research in Education, a resource network for STEM education researchers supported by the National Science Foundation.

Georgia State University student Will Fraker recently received the Friedrich William Ralf Munster Fellowships in Philosophy. The fellowship, named for former Philosophy Chair Ralf Munster, provides support for graduate students in the Department of Philosophy based on academic excellence.

The Donald Ahearn Endowed Fellowship in Applied and Environmental Microbiology was established in honor of Dr. Ahearn becoming a Research Professor Emeritus. The fellowship recognizes his contributions in instruction, research, and service to Georgia State University.

This award is named in honor of former Dean Ahmed T. Abdelal, who established the molecular genetics and biotechnology program at Georgia State University.

Eligibility for this fellowship, a competitive award, is limited to graduate students accepted into the M.F.A. or Ph.D. degree program in creative writing with a specialization in fiction writing.

Bao, of Xinxiang, China, is a Ph.D. student in Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences. Named for a former professor in the Department of Chemistry, the Ambrose H. Pendergrast Fellowship is awarded to an outstanding doctoral student in the area of medicinal chemistry/biochemistry. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.
