Georgia State University student Ryan Wilson has received the Best Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in Mathematics.

Georgia State University student Nicole Rigney has received the Outstanding Doctoral Scholar Award in Neuroscience.

Georgia State University student Hershey Millner has received the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in Religious Studies.

The award was established by Swope Dreams, in memory of Andrew J. Swope, to honor a graduate student pursing a degree from the Urban Studies Institute with a demonstrated commitment to equity and justice.

This academic honor is awarded to a graduating BSW or MSW student who has earned a minimum grade point average of 3.0, demonstrated outstanding performance in the field and expressed commitment to the social work profession.

The scholarship is awarded to School of Social Work students who demonstrate commitment to the field of Social Work with a 3.0 or higher GPA and financial need.

Atlanta Legal Aid Society fellows are MPA or MPP students selected annually to work directly with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. They get a well-rounded introduction to the nation's critical legal issues - from public benefits to complex mortgage litigation - while assisting in researching and developing program administration and policy development.

Established by the Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges in memory of Chris Perrin, executive director of the council and an alumnus of Georgia State University, this merit-based scholarship is presented annually to a rising junior or senior majoring in degree programs in the School of Social Work and the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology.
