An undergraduate student in the School of Public Health at Georgia State University has been awarded the Wilma Rudolph Student-Athlete Achievement Award.

The Occupational Therapy Leadership Excellence Award goes to the student who provides ongoing, dynamic leadership and guidance to his or her class and maintains a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Award is given to a graduating second year student with a GPA of 4.0 in the occupational therapy program who also exhibits overall academic excellence.

This award is given to the Occupational Therapy student who maintains the structure and integrity of the class. This student has a strong commitment to the occupational therapy profession, is an avid patient advocate and is respected by faculty and peers.

This award is given to the graduating student in occupational therapy who personifies high character articulation through leadership, community service and overall personal integrity and academic history.

This award is given to the student who has most actively participated in professional activities within the community, demonstrating high standards of professionalism, while maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

This award recognizes the Occupatonal Thearpy student who has made an outstanding contribution to the research efforts of the Department of Occupational Therapy and who exhibits the potential of becoming a significant contributor to the field of occupational therapy research.

The Kell Award is presented to students graduating from Georgia State University at the undergraduate level with the highest grade-point average for all course work taken at the university.

This award is presented to a graduating respiratory therapy student or students who, in the opinion of the faculty, exhibit a willingness to provide service to the department's outreach efforts.

The Nell Hamilton Trotter Student Leadership Award recognizes an outstanding commitment to student involvement and is the highest student leadership award presented by the university. For nearly 40 years, Nell Hamilton Trotter was a loyal member of the Georgia State University community. She was the first dean of women at Georgia State and served for many years as a dedicated faculty member. Dean Hamilton Trotter personified the ideal qualities students, particularly student leaders, are expected to emulate.

The Nursing Student Leadership Award recognizes a student who has demonstrated initiative, motivation, dedication, and strong commitment to a Georgia State nursing student program or organization. This award is given to a student who demonstrates leadership abilities both within and outside of Georgia State University.

Amadou Bah, a Georgia State University Perimeter College student studying engineering, was recognized with the Student Leadership Excellence Award during the 2018 Perimeter College Honors Award Ceremony. He was described as the "epitome of a student leader" who tutors classmates across a majority of Perimeter College's STEM curriculums. Bah also was named the national Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Scholar for the college.

This award recognizes students who have made outstanding research contributions, have become a role model for other students and have exhibited potential of becoming a significant contributor to the nursing profession.

Isaac King, a Georgia State University Perimeter College computer science student, was honored for is work in community service projects during the 2018 Georgia State University Perimeter College Honors Day ceremony. King, a graduate of MLK Jr. High School, is student president of the Mentoring Initiative for New Americans and is an advisor to the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. He also is the vice president of the Clarkston Computer and Engineering Club.

Sarah Garner was recognized with an award as a top Business and Economics student for her academic standing and community service during the 2018 Georgia State University Perimeter Honors Day Ceremony.

Rebecca Maldonado, a Perimeter College student studying Kinesiology and Health, was honored for her academic achievement and civic engagement during the 2018 Georgia State University Perimeter College Honors Day celebration.

Hana Ahmad, a business and accounting student at Georgia State University's Perimeter College, was recognized for her academic excellence in her financial and managerial accounting courses during the Perimeter College Honors Day event.

Mame Seye, a Georgia State University Perimeter College computer information systems student, was recognized for her academic excellence and student involvement during the 2018 Perimeter College Honors Day event.

Alexander Studebaker, who is studying biology at Georgia State University's Perimeter College, was named a top student during the college's annual Honors Day celebration. Studebaker, a student on the Newton Campus, has a 4.0 GPA and is active in the campus Student Government Association.

Gillian Gilbert-Wason, an environmental science student at Georgia State University's Perimeter College, received the Dean's Award during the annual Honors Day celebration at Perimeter College. The award recongizes an individual student who has actively demonstrated attributes of a leader through his/her actions and character.

The Nell Hamilton Trotter Student Leadership Award, named for the first Dean of Women at Georgia State University, recognizes an outstanding commitment to student involvement, and is the highest student leadership award presented by the university.
