The Michael Jay Jedel Award in Human Resource Management is named in honor of Michael Jay Jedel, a former associate dean of the Robinson College of Business and director of the W.T. Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations. It is presented annually to an M.S. or M.B.A. student who exhibits high standards of academic achievement, strong commitment to the human resources field, and outstanding leadership potential.

The Norman R. Harbaugh Scholastic Achievement Award is presented to the most outstanding managerial sciences major in the MBA program based on academic achievement, potential for leadership, and service to the university and the community.

This annual award recognizes a graduating risk analysis and management student who has demonstrated academic excellence in graduate-level coursework and whose efforts have enhanced the quality of education for other students in the mathematical risk management program.

The R. C. Williams, M.D., Honor Award was established to honor the late Dr. Williams, who founded the Hospital Administration program at GSU in 1952. The award is given to the graduate student in the Institute of Health Administration demonstrating outstanding leadership in the profession through university, community and work-related endeavors.

Robert W. Batten served as professor and director of Georgia State's Actuarial Science Program for 25 years. This award is presented annually to an actuarial science student in recognition of outstanding performance in actuarial mathematics.

This annual award-sponsored by the RMI Alumni Club-recognizes a senior-level student majoring in risk management and insurance who has demonstrated academic excellence in coursework related to managing risk.

The Dennis E. Grawoig Memorial Award is presented to the outstanding undergraduate student in the Managerial Sciences displaying exceptional analytical skills. This award is given in memory of the founder of the Department of Decision Sciences and the first President of the Decision Sciences Institute. It is based on academic achievement, potential for leadership and service to the university and community.

Established in 2015 by alumnus Ed Baker, this scholarship provides support to an undergraduate or graduate student in the Robinson College whose academic achievement, initiative, persistence, character and integrity indicate outstanding potential for future success.

During the course of a year, approximately one-third of the College's Ph.D. students teach one or more course sections as Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs). The award is granted to an outstanding graduating history major who has completed three freshman history survey courses and has maintained a minimum grade-point average in upper-level history courses of 3.5. The award was established by the faculty and alumni of the Chemistry department in honor of Dr. Al Baumstark, organic chemist and former department chair, for his commitment to increasing student diversity in science. Georgia State University student Alesha Bond has received the Theresa Nash Bernstein Scholarship in International Travel. Bond, of Deer Park, N.Y., is a Ph.D. student in psychology in the College of Arts & Sciences. Former Dean Lauren B. Adamson and her husband, Walter L. Adamson, established this scholarship for high achieving students who have not had the opportunity to travel abroad for study. The scholarship was established in honor of Lauren Adamson's mother, Teresa Nash Bernstein, a teacher, artist, and world traveler. This award is made annually to an outstanding graduate student in the Department of Psychology who has excelled in their professional development, teaching, and service. It is named for Richard Morrell, a talented clinical graduate student, who died tragically in an airplane crash in Africa in 2003. Fox, of Deerfield, IL, is a psychology Ph.D. student in the College of Arts & Sciences. This award is made annually to a graduate student who has shown outstanding development and ability in the use of statistics in psychology. It is named for Percival Rogers Bakeman (1882-1932), a graduate of Brown University, who was regarded as something of a polymath. He was a professor at Shanghai College, where he distinguished himself as the only American to lecture routinely in Chinese. The John Warkentin Memorial Award is made annually to a graduate student showing outstanding potential in psychotherapy as well as financial need. John Warkentin was a psychiatrist in Atlanta who died in 1983. He and his wife, who was a clinical psychologist, were strong supporters of the psychotherapy program in the 1970s.

Georgia State University student Leigh Holbrook has received the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award from the Department of Religious Studies.

Georgia State University student Melvin Douglas has received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the Department of Religious Studies in recognition of academic achievement.

The Sara M. Hunt Clinical Excellence Award is given to a Coordinated Program student who has displayed outstanding performance in the clinical setting.

Georgia State University student Chakravarthy Garlapati has been awarded the Cellular & Molecular Biology & Physiology Award for excellent work in the field. Garlapati works in the Department of Biology at Georgia State and is involved in molecular biology, cell biology and cancer research. Garlapati is also working on a research project titled "Discovery of Molecular Signature Responsible for TNBC Racial Disparity in AA vs EA."

The Respiratory Therapy Student Service Award is presented to a graduating respiratory therapy student or students who, in the opinion of the faculty, exhibit a willingness to provide service to the department's outreach efforts.

Harris, of Augusta, is a Sociology major in the College of Arts & Sciences. This award recognizes a graduating Respiratory Therapy student or students with the highest GPA achieved in the respiratory therapy progam.

The Faculty Recognition Award is presented to graduating respiratory therapy students who, in the opinion of the faculty, exhibit a positive professional attitude and a willingness to serve the needs of classmates, the community, and the profession of respiratory therapy.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is exclusive to students who meet the society's high academic standards of excellence and is only open to students around the country and internationally who attend business schools like Robinson that are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

This award, established in memory of James Ancil Lewis, honors his exemplary work in respiratory therapy: from his graduation in 1973 until his death in 1992. This award is given to a junior(s) in the program who exemplifies Mr. Lewis' characteristics of service to others, particularly in clinical work and direct patient care.
