D'Arienzo, of Atlanta, is a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics & ESL student in the College of Arts and Sciences. The International Association for Task-Based Language Teaching (IATBLT) is an organization that focuses on frameworks for teaching second languages. The conference, held in August, brought together scholars and educators from around the world and invited them to discuss established and innovative approaches. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Georgia State University student Yu (Terry) Tian recently published an article in the journal Assessing Writing. Tian, of Beijing, is an Applied Linguistics & ESL Ph.D. candidate in the College of Arts and Sciences. The article introduces a new corpus that Tian and Scott Crossley, a Georgia State professor of Applied Linguistics & ESL, have compiled. Georgia State University student Meredith D'Arienzo published research for a chapter of an academic book, "Language Teachers Studying Abroad." D'Arienzo, of Atlanta, is a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics & ESL in the College of Arts and Sciences. The chapter is called "The Impact of a Two-Week Study-Abroad Teacher Development Program on Pre-Service L2 Teachers" and was written with the help of YouJin Kim, a Georgia State professor of Applied Linguistics & ESL. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Research Accepted for National Undergraduate Research Conference

Georgia State University student Razat Sutradhar recently had his research accepted for the 8th National Workshop for Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in Networking and Systems in Denver, Colorado. Sutradhar, of Tucker, is an undergraduate Computer Science student in the College of Arts and Sciences. Razat has been working with Ashwin Ashok, a Georgia State Associate Professor of Computer Science, on this research for more than a year and is the first author on the paper. The National Workshop for REU Research in Networking and Systems took place on October 22. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.
