At the Eighth Annual Scholarship Donor and Recipient Luncheon, 151 Georgia State Law students and their donors were recognized for their hard work and commitment to legal education.

Congratulations to the recipients of the Georgia State University International Education Fund (IEF) Study Abroad Scholarship who participated in an international education experience in Fall 2015! The Georgia State University International Education Fee (IEF) Study Abroad Scholarship, initiated in 2004, is funded by the international education student fee.

Congratulations to the recipients of the Study Abroad Global Experience Scholarship (GES) who participated in an international education experience in Fall 2015! This scholarship provides opportunities to deserving students by offering substantial award amounts of up to $5,000 for Maymester or Summer programs, $7,500 for Fall or Spring semesters abroad, and $15,000 for an Academic Year, depending on financial need and program costs.

Four doctoral students have been selected to receive $1,000 College of Education and Human Development Doctoral Dissertation Awards.

Three College of Education and Human Development doctoral students have been accepted into Georgia State University's inaugural class of Final Year Fellows.

College of Education and Human Development doctoral student Kathleen Kimball is one of three students across the country awarded the Martha Lynn Smith Research Scholarship from the Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders.

The Robert L. Blakely Endowed Scholarship in Anthropology is given to an anthropology senior-level student who shows strong potential in the field of anthropology.

The Jeremy Gillen Memorial Scholarship in Anthropology is awarded to a senior-level student who demonstrates strong potential in the field of anthropology.

The Theresa Nash Bernstein Scholarship in International Travel Award is given to a psychology undergraduate or graduate student who is traveling to do research or study in a country the student has not yet visited.

The Haywood Family Scholarship supports undergraduates studying in the School of Music. The award was established by Gene T. Haywood.

The Margaret L. Andersen Scholarship is given annually to an outstanding sociology undergraduate or graduate student. This endowment was created by sociology alumna Dr. Margaret Andersen and her husband Richard Rosenfeld.

The Goodale Family Scholarship in International Study recognizes international studies students who are traveling to study or conduct research in a country they have never visited.

The Roberta Gose Kelley Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior-level student who has demonstrated good academic standing and financial need. The scholarship is in memory of Roberta Gose Kelley and honors her commitment to public education in the state of Georgia.

The Terry F. Barker Memorial Scholarship recognizes an outstanding journalism major in news writing. The award was established in memory of Terry Barker, a former journalism student and sports writer for the Gwinnett Daily News.

The Scott-Norcostco Theater Scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding student in technical theater. The scholarship was established through gifts from Norcostco Inc., the Scott-Norcostco Foundation and the Scott family.

The Lawrence J. Rifkind Scholarship supports students majoring in speech communication. The scholarship honors Lawrence J. Rifkind and the positive influence he has had on students' lives.

The George Greiff Scholarship Fund is given to a journalism undergraduate or graduate student in honor of former Georgia State University journalism Professor George Greiff.

The William G. Nolan Memorial Scholarship Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate students who demonstrate good academic standing and show leadership and citizenship at Georgia State University and surrounding communities. This fund was created in memory of former biology Associate Professor William G. Nolan.

The David E. Ogren Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student for service to the Geosciences Department. The award honors the memory of David E. Ogren, Professor Emeritus, Geology.

The Allen and Eleanor Hollingsworth Scholarship recognizes an outstanding entering or first-year master's degree gerontology student. It is given in honor of Allen and Eleanor Hollingsworth.

The Anne M. Eaton Endowed scholarship recognizes an outstanding gerontology graduate student with special preference given to students age 40 or older. The scholarship honors alumna Anne Eaton, who was apart of the first class of gerontology graduates in 1977.

The Carol Rowe Jones and Waymon Jones Scholarship recognizes an outstanding gerontology student, with a special preference given to students under-represented in the University System of Georgia. The scholarship was established by gerontology alumna Carol Rowe Jones and her husband Waymon Jones.

The Charles and Catherine B. Rice Scholarship honors an outstanding first-year, gerontology master's degree student. The scholarship was established in honor of Charles and Catherine B. Rice.

The Gerontology Alumni Endowed Scholarship is awarded to two entering graduate students. The scholarship is funded by the Gerontology Alumni Club.

The Mary M. Mackinnon Endowed Scholarship in Gerontology is awarded to undergraduate and or graduate students who demonstrate a passion for the aging community. The scholarship is in memory of Georgia State University alumna and former staff member Mary MacKinnon.

TRISPRO Scholarship is given to an outstanding student in theater or music. This scholarship was established by the players, singers, musicians, spouses and friends of TRISPRO Inc.

The Harold V. & Anna Marie Little Scholarship honors an outstanding entering or first-year gerontology master's degree student. The award is in honor of Harold V. Little and in memory of Anna Marie Little.

The Arlene and Alvin Altman Scholarship is awarded to a philosophy major who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement and economic need. The award is given for a two-year period.

The Thomas M. Brumby Scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior majoring in music with a concentration in piano or organ. The award was created in memory of Thomas M. Brumby, the prime builder of the School of Music at Georgia State.
