Margaret Lupo was a leading restaurant entrepreneur and known for her southern hospitality. It is awarded to a student who is majoring in hospitality with a restaurant management focus. Selection is also based on academic achievement, work experience and restaurant industry involvement.

Joshua Akinola-King, Chair of SGA's Atlanta Senate Student Life Committee was awarded the Carole Ann Golder Memorial Scholarship at the SGA Awards and Inauguration Luncheon on May 3, 2018. He has been involved with SGA since becoming a Senator for the Robinson College of Business in 2017. He is also a Deputy Ambassador for the Andrew Goodman Foundation's Vote Everywhere Project and is a member of the 1913 Society at Georgia State University. Recipients must meet the following criteria: be a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student in the Global Studies Institute who has shown ability to overcome financial need and obstacles by hard work, not only academically, but often in off-term and/or part-time employment during school terms, have a demonstrated commitment to Georgia State University and the Global Studies Institute and a strong interest in international issues and becoming prepared for a career in the global marketplace, have a current overall minimum 3.0 GPA and have a demonstrated financial need as determined by the Georgia State University Office of Financial Aid.
