The Mary Long Nursing Scholarship benefits an honors nursing student at Georgia State aUniversity who has demonstrated financial need and espouses the values of compassion, fairness, collaboration, respect for cultural diversity and dignity in all people.

The Madison Roarabaugh McLester Scholarship is awarded to a student in the Honors College at Georgia State University who is engaged in impactful community service or extracurricular programs and demonstrates how attending an urban research university has been meaningful to their academic and professional development.

The Kirkland-Sattelmeyer Scholarship is awarded to rising juniors in the Honors College at Georgia State University who best describe how an honors education will help them achieve the academic and career goals.

The Alonzo F. and Norris B. Herndon Human Rights Scholarship is awarded to qualified Honors College students who are engaged in advancing human rights through scholarship, research, creative work, leadership or community service.

The Dugald Hudson Memorial Scholarship provides financial support for students in the Honors College at Georgia State who have overcome a significant obstacle or challenge.

Tyler Lawhead, who earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy and Spanish from Georgia State University, was awarded the English Teaching Assistant Award by the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The Fulbright Student Fellowship provides students with the opportunity to live and work abroad. To be competitive for the fellowship, candidates must have an excellent academic background, demonstrate leadership in their respective fields and be willing to serve as ambassadors during this cultural exchange.

Kidest Adane, who earned a bachelor's degree in history from Georgia State University, was selected as an alternate by the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The Fulbright Student Fellowship provides students with the opportunity to live and work abroad. The Gordon Seagraves Cummings Scholarship/Award recognizes individuals who are both critical thinkers and caring, competent practitioners -- characteristics personified by Professor Gordon Cummings.

The Harry P. Hopkins Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of Dr. Harry P. Hopkins, Jr. and his interest in physical chemistry. The fund is to support scholarship in physical chemistry amongst graduate level students.

The William G. Nolan Memorial Scholarship is awarded to outstanding undergraduate students who excel in academic achievement based on grade-point average, intellectual inquisitiveness, and research activities and who show leadership and good citizenship at Georgia State and in other communities. This fund was created in memory of former Associate Professor of Biology William G. Nolan.

The Spurgeon Richardson Scholarship in Hospitality Leadership is in honor of Spurgeon Richardson, a well-known leader in Atlanta's hospitality community. Richardson served as president and CEO of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau for 17 years. This scholarship is presented to a hospitality major based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

Located in Atlanta, Hotel Equities is a full service hotel management company, providing award-winning management, development and consulting for hotels throughout the United States. The founder of Hotel Equities is GSU alumnus, Fred Cerrone. This scholarship is based on academic achievement, career goals, work experience and school and community involvement.

This scholarship, funded by the professional association for hotel concierges in Atlanta, is in memory of Kevin Roach, a long-time hotel employee who was dedicated to quality guest service. The Concierge Society of Atlanta presents this scholarship to a hospitality major with work experience in the hotel industry in a concierge or guest service capacity.

The John Jordan Scholarship in Hospitality Club Management was established in honor of John Jordan, a national leader in the private club industry. Jordan was the general manager/CEO of the Cherokee Town and Country Club for over 46 years. This scholarship is presented to a hospitality major based on career interest in club management, academic achievement and experience.

The Robert R. King Memorial Scholarship in Hospitality & Tourism is in memory of Robert King, a leader in Georgia's hospitality industry as president of the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association. It is presented to a hospitality major based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

This scholarship was established by the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance. Founded in 2009, AHA provides a forum for networking and professional development to Atlanta-area hotel owners, developers, operators, franchisors and professional service providers. This scholarship is presented to a hospitality major based on career interest in hotel development or management, academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel Leadership Scholarship was established through a partnership by Hyatt Regency Atlanta for the hotel's 50th anniversary celebration in May 2017 to provide opportunities for young leaders pursuing degrees in hospitality.

This scholarship was established in memory of the founder of Days Inn and the namesake of the School of Hospitality. It is awarded to hospitality majors based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and work experience.

North Point Hospitality Scholarship

JHM Hotels, Inc. established the Rama Scholarship for the American Dream with a $1,000,001 endowment. The five Rama brothers, principals in the company, emigrated from India to pursue their American Dream. It began with the ownership of one lodging property and grew into a successful operation of 40 properties with 6,520 rooms and more than 1,500 associates. The fund, established on the 25th anniversary of the brothers' first hotel purchase, encourages others to create their own American Dream.

The Gary Winkle Scholarship is given in honor of Dr. Gary Winkle to a student in the Masters of Professional Accountancy program with high scholastic achievement.

Awarded to two outstanding doctoral students in the School of Accountancy. Dr. Catherine Miles served as Chairman of the Accounting Department at GSU from 1955 to 1976 and was one of the founders of the GSU chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the accountancy honor society.

In honor of Dr. Gary Winkle, The Director of the School of Accountancy from 1998 to 1999, this scholarship is awarded to three students in the Master of Professional Accountancy program with high scholastic achievement.
