The Outstanding Doctoral Student Award in School Psychology is given to a school psychology doctoral student in recognition of academic performance, service to the department and professional promise.

The Outstanding School Psychology Student Award is given to a master's or educational specialist student in the school psychology program in recognition of initiative, leadership, advocacy and service to the school psychology profession and program.

The Outstanding Undergraduate in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and Special Education Award is given by the Georgia State University College of Education & Human Development in recognition of excellence and scholarship in the bachelor of science in education program in elementary education with concentrations in preschool through grade five and special education general curriculum.

Christine Mattke is the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Tier I Educational Leadership Student Award of Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development. It is given to a student in the educational leadership program who has had an outstanding clinical experience related to K-12 leadership.

Kenneth Driggers is the 2024 recipient of the Social Foundations Doctoral Award for Scholarly Achievement from the Georgia State University College of Education and Human Development. This award is given in recognition of exceptional scholarly accomplishment through original publication by doctoral students in the social foundations doctoral program.

Abbey Hortenstine is the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Social Foundations Graduate Teaching Assistant Award from the Georgia State University College of Education and Human Development. This award is given to a graduate teaching assistant in recognition of outstanding teaching in the classroom and in working with individual students.

Calia Howse is the 2024 recipient of the Excellence in Leadership Award, given for exceptional performance in leadership at the local, state or national level as a master's student in communication sciences and disorders.

The Nursing Student Service Award recognizes undergraduate students for outstanding service, demonstrating exemplary performance and distinctive contributions to the university, School of Nursing, community and the nursing profession.

The Occupational Therapy Academic Excellence Award is given to a graduating second year student with a GPA of 4.0 in the occupational therapy program who also exhibits overall academic excellence.

This award is given to the Occupational Therapy student who maintains the structure and integrity of the class. This student has a strong commitment to the occupational therapy profession, is an avid patient advocate and is respected by faculty and peers.

This award recognizes students who have made outstanding research contributions, have become a role model for other students and have exhibited potential of becoming a significant contributor to the nursing profession.

The Nursing Student Leadership Award recognizes a student who has demonstrated initiative, motivation, dedication, and strong commitment to a Georgia State nursing student program or organization. This award is given to a student who demonstrates leadership abilities both within and outside of Georgia State University.

Georgia State University graduate Emmanuel Buabeng has received the Al Baumstark Award in Chemistry. This award supports students pursuing doctoral degrees in chemistry. The award was established by the faculty and alumni of the Chemistry Department in honor of Al Baumstark, organic chemist and former department chair, for his commitment to increasing student diversity in science.

Georgia State University student Kayla McMinimy has received support from the Craigie International Security Scholars Fund. This fund was established by Georgia State alumna Kay Craigie to provide support to Ph.D. students in the college who focus on thwarting terrorism and protecting democracy.

The award was established by Swope Dreams, in memory of Andrew J. Swope, to honor a graduate student pursing a degree from the Urban Studies Institute with a demonstrated commitment to equity and justice.
