Georgia State University student Chanwoo Park recently received the International Undergraduate Student of the Year Award from the university. Park, from South Korea, is a bachelor's student in Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences. The International Undergraduate Student of the Year Award aims to honor and recognize outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and contributions to the international community by a Georgia State University international student at the undergraduate level. Park has assisted with International Student Orientation, leading the various events and helping new international students with their questions about Georgia State. He is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa's Alpha Zeta Mu Chapter and served as an International Peer Assistant Student Leader for the International Student and Scholar Services Department at Perimeter College, where he earned an Associate's degree in Computer Science in the Summer of 2022. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Georgia State University student Xian Jan Li recently received an Assessment Research Award from the British Council. Li, of Changsha, China, is a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Linguistics & ESL student within the College of Arts and Sciences. The British Council awarded Li to support her dissertation research. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

The Rosalind Society/Mary Ann Liebert award from the journal Brain Connectivity is given for the best paper by a woman or underrepresented minority in this journal.

Georgia State University student Jina Yu recently received an academic award for her poster presentation for Georgia State's Scientific Computing Day. Yu, of Jonesboro, is a Ph.D. student in Chemistry in Professor Ivaylo Ivanov's lab in the College of Arts and Sciences. Yu's poster was titled "Dynamic conformational switching underlies TFIIH function in transcription and DNA repair and impacts genetic diseases." Georgia State's Scientific Computing Day is a symposium fostering networking and collaborations among researchers at the university and its affiliates. The College of Arts and Sciences provides a skill-based liberal arts and sciences education for Atlanta's diverse, next-generation workforce.

Georgia State University student Lauren Alexis Adams has received the Eleanor M. Pratt Endowment for English Majors Award. The award is given to an exceptional student for whom the study of writing or literature has made a significant impact. This fund was created to honor the legacy of Eleanor Mary Pratt, who had a deep spiritual faith and a love of literature, the English language, and the fine arts.

Georgia State University student Ramya Tekumalla has received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the Department of Computer Science. This award is given to outstanding graduate students in the computer science department.

Georgia State University student Patrick Walsh-King has received the George W. Beiswanger Award. This endowed award goes to an undergraduate major on the basis of overall academic excellence, including GPA, undergraduate research projects, B.A. thesis work, and participation in academically oriented departmental activities. The award was endowed by philosophy alum Kay Craigie in honor of Beiswanger, who was a Professor of Philosophy at Georgia State from 1963 to 1970.

Georgia State University student C.C. Cannon has received a Teaching Associate Award. Cannon, of Atlanta, is a doctoral Sociology student in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Georgia State University student Denise Wong has received the Orbun Troy Moore III Undergraduate Ethics Essay Contest Award. The award is given annually to the undergraduate student who submits the best essay to the Jean Beer Blumenfeld Center for Ethics essay contest. The award was established with the generous support of Katherine B. Moore in the loving memory of her son.

Georgia State University student Lake Li has received the Cellular and Molecular Biology and Physiology Award. This award supports activities related to cellular and molecular biology and physiology studies including travel to seminars and symposia.

Georgia State University student Kharli M. Major has received the Dr. Walter Wilczynski Outstanding Neuroscience Undergraduate Award. This endowment recognizes and honors the legacy of Walter Wilczynski, the founding director of the Neuroscience Institute at Georgia State in 2008. In addition to teaching, research, and scholarly writing, Wilczynski mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows, influencing the careers of countless undergraduate and graduate students.

Georgia State University student Nizamettin Tokar has received the Best Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in Mathematics.

Georgia State University student Ryan Wilson has received the Best Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in Mathematics.

Georgia State University student Nicole Rigney has received the Outstanding Doctoral Scholar Award in Neuroscience.

Georgia State University student Hershey Millner has received the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in Religious Studies.

With this award, the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology recognizes outstanding research produced by doctoral students.

The award is presented to the student who has maintained the highest grade point average in the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program during their junior or senior year.

The Steven Kudravi Memorial Award is given to graduate teaching assistants who exhibit exceptional abilities as an instructor as well as a continuous drive to improve the teaching and learning experience.

Georgia State University student Anthony Molloy has received the Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award. This award recognizes a graduate student who has been an outstanding researcher in the Department of Psychology.

Georgia State University student Brielle James has received the Walter F. Daves Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award. This award is given annually to a graduate student who has been an outstanding instructor in the Department of Psychology. It is named for Walter F. Daves, a professor in the department from 1966-1997 and chair 1989-1994.

Georgia State University student Eric Semmel has received the Richard Morrell Outstanding Graduate Student in Psychology Award. This award, given annually to an outstanding graduate student in the Department of Psychology, is named for Richard Morrell, a talented clinical graduate student who died tragically in an airplane crash in Africa in 2003. Awardees are selected for excellence in their professional development, teaching, and service.

This award, given annually to an outstanding graduate student in the Department of Psychology, is named for Richard Morrell, a talented clinical graduate student who died tragically in an airplane crash in Africa in 2003.
