Tammy Huynh Wins Best News Graphic Designer Award at the Southeast Journalism Conference

Tammy Huynh, of Forest Park, a Georgia State University student, was awarded the first-place Best News Graphic Designer award at the Southeast Journalism Conference, held this February at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss.

Huynh is a production designer for The Signal, the student newspaper of Georgia State University.

The Best News Graphic Designer award at the Southeast Journalism Conference (SEJC) goes to a student who has been judged as having the best computer-generated artwork of a news or feature nature.

Additionally, The Signal was ranked as the best college newspaper in the "Best of the South" competition, and ranked first in the onsite journalism championship held at the conference.

The SEJC is composed of more than 45 member colleges and universities across the Southeast, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
