Stephanie Ekey Presents Research at Black Doctoral Network Conference

Georgia State University Honors College student Stephanie Ekey, of Reisterstown, MD, presented research on the neural modulation of respiration and the response of the respiratory neuronal network to hypoxia at the Black Doctoral Network Conference, held Oct. 27-29 in Atlanta, Ga.

Ekey's project targeted the impact of systemic inflammation on post-hypoxic respiratory recovery in neonatal mice. Ekey gave a poster presentation among 29 other undergraduate scholars from all over the country and received an honorable mention award for her poster presentation.
