School of Public Health Ph.D. Student Argita Salindri Publishes Research in Academic Journal

2018 Jan 26

Argita Salindri, a Ph.D. student in the School of Public Health from Sidoarjo, recently published her research in an academic journal. Argita's article, titled "Isoniazid-Monoresistance and Rate of Culture Conversion among Confirmed Tuberculosis Patients in the State of Georgia, 2009 - 2014," is published in the Annals of the American Thoracic Society.

Argita's research found that Georgia patients infected with isoniazid-monoresistant tuberculosis strain have a similar response to treatment as patients with drug-susceptible tuberculosis. Her research also found that being male and having a history of homeless were associated with a greater liklihood of having INH-monoresistant TB.
