Hallie Andrews, a Georgia State University School of Public Health graduate student from Roswell, has been awarded the Kreuter/Katz Family Scholarship.

Hallie Andrews is a Master of Public Health student in the health management and policy concentration. She is also pursuing a master's degree in social work at Georgia State.

She was selected for the Kreuter/Katz Family Scholarship because of her passion for and experience in community health, as well as her outstanding academic record. Hallie has worked for the CONTACT Rape Crisis Center and the Feminist Women's Health Center. She is now volunteering at the office of the DeKalb Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), which is a non-profit organization advocating for the best interests of children in foster care.

The Kreuter/Katz Family Scholarship is awarded to graduate students who show a strong interest in health equity and community engagement. Eligible students must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and have demonstrated financial need. The scholarship provides a one-time award of $1,000.
