Megan Litumbe Named Sun Belt Co-Player of the Week

Megan Litumbe was named Sun Belt co-Player of the Week on May 2.

Litumbe homered three times during Saturday's double-header versus UL Monroe, leading to three intentional walks during the series. Litumbe went 5-for-9 (.556) with four RBI and five runs scored. She slugged 1.556 and owned a .667 OBP. Her bat helped the Panthers take two out of three games from the Warhawks and remain in third place in the conference standings.

Litumbe collected a hit in all three contests and scored a run in each game. She struck out just one time in nine at-bats.

Litumbe has made an incredible comeback after missing most of 2016 due to an ACL injury. She currently ranks 10th in the nation with 17 home runs and hold Georgia State's career home run record with 48. She has the third-most home runs among active juniors in NCAA Division-I.
