Jung Hoon Han Wins In Mathematical Risk Management Case Competition

Jung Hoon Han, of Bucheon-si, won first place in the inaugural Mathematical Risk Management Graduate Students Association's inaugural Mini Case Competition at Georgia State University this past fall semester.

More than 30 Georgia State graduate students of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business competed in the competition, held in partnership with Assurant Risk Solutions.

The students were divided into seven teams and charged with determining and then mitigating risks associated with providing extended warranties in China.

The entire roster of first-place winners includes Jung Hoon Han, Joonsoo Kim, Chris DeBellis and Suyi Zhu.

Graduates of the Master of Science in Mathematical Risk Management program are ready to analyze and understand financial risks. Program graduates have secured analytical and technical positions within financial institutions, risk management advisory organizations, and treasury departments of non-financial corporations.
