Joanna Benshoof participated in an international exchange program for Joint Studies in British & American Cultures at University of Northumbria, Newcastle during the 2016-2017 academic year at Georgia State University.

Benshoof, of Snellville, is majoring in English. More than 30 Georgia State students studied in academic-year-long study abroad programs across the globe.
