Haley Tipsord Receives the Floyd S. Harper Actuarial Science Award

Every spring the J. Mack Robinson College of Business hosts an Honors Day Celebration recognizing the college's brightest students. This year's event occurred on Wednesday, April 6 at the Rialto Center for the Arts.

Haley Tipsord of Bloomington was recognized for receiving the Floyd S. Harper Actuarial Science Award at the 2016 Robinson Honors Day Celebration. The late Dr. Floyd S. Harper joined Georgia State's faculty in 1958 and was instrumental in the creation of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance's Actuarial Science Program. This award is presented annually to a graduating senior in actuarial science in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and character--qualities that Dr. Harper strove to develop in his students.
