Haley Gerrin Recognized at 2017 Golden Panther Awards Celebrating Student-Athletes

Haley Gerrin of Clarkesville was named Academic MVP during the Golden Panther Awards at Georgia State University on April 18, 2017, recognizing student-athlete excellence on and off the field.

Gerrin is on the women's basketball team.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from each sport, selected the award categories and winners. Trey Payne of the football team and Sarah Renner of the court volleyball program served as the emcees for the event, which was held in the Georgia State Student Center and was attended by more than 450 student-athletes, coaches, staff, supporters and Hall of Fame guests.
