2015 Feb 20

College of Education doctoral student Nedeljko Golubovic, of Pljevlja, was one of 10 students from across the U.S. chosen as a leadership fellow for Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society of professional counseling.

As a 2015-2016 Chi Sigma Iota Leadership Fellow, Golubovic will receive $1,200 and will attend the American Counseling Association's Conference and Expo in Orlando, Fla., this March. At the conference, he will go through a training session with other leadership fellows and sit in on a Chi Sigma Iota executive council meeting.

"It's an honor to have Nedeljko representing Georgia State and the College of Education in such an important and well-respected organization within the counseling field," said Andrea Dixon, COE associate professor and past president of Chi Sigma Iota. "He encompasses strong leadership and advocacy skills and talents that represent the fundamental principles of Chi Sigma Iota as well as our department's and the counseling profession's values."
