Christina Maxouris Wins Best News Photograph Award of the Georgia College Press Association

Christina Maxouris, of Alpharetta, a student of Georgia State University, has garnered the first-place Best News Photograph Award for Group I among the student newspapers of the Georgia College Press Association.

The award was presented Feb. 11, 2017, in Macon, Ga.

Maxouris is on the staff of The Signal, Georgia State's student newspaper.

The Georgia College Press Association is an organization dedicated to assisting in the betterment of Georgia collegiate journalism and providing a reciprocal flow of information between its member colleges. Membership to GCPA is an excellent opportunity for print journalism students to discuss common issues of college newspapers and to network with newspaper professionals.
