Amrina Anwar Participates In Fall 2017 Undergraduate STEM Research Conference

Amrina Anwar of ALPHARETTA participated in the Fall 2017 Undergraduate STEM Research Conference at Georgia State University's Natural Sciences Building on Oct. 27, 2017.

Anwar is studying Biological Science.

More than 140 students from 10 departments in the College of Arts and Sciences participated in the conference, presenting research, research proposals, or literature on topics of interest.

The Undergraduate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Conference is an informal opportunity to practice research presentation skills for future class work and conference attendance.

More than 140 students from 10 departments in the College of Arts and Sciences participated. Students displayed both PowerPoint slides and printed posters; each had 45 minutes to discuss their work with interested faculty and colleagues.

Undergraduate STEM Research Society (USRS) officers Eudoxie Bataba, Joseph Williamson, Noa Erlitzki, Tobi Ogunyale and Ibukun Gioia Ige, along with the Georgia State Office of STEM Initiatives, including Dr. Paul Ulrich and the Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Program, helped to highlight the STEM students' work.
